Sloan has proven nothing when it comes to developing a young QB, and Nuss is probably a great example of this since he is making the same mistakes as a 4th year junior that he did as a true Freshman.

And none of that was playing time before this yr. Practice isn't the same as live action, not even close!

It's NIL. It's not being paid by the university. It's absolutely no difference than endorsements of professional athletes. When the Supreme Court ruled amateur athletes could be paid of NIL, the market sets that. If Nike is willing to pay a college athlete 50 million, then it is what it is.

This is a huge misconception that is contradicted off the bat with the words "blank school offers blank $10 million NIL package".
If it isn't university money, the universities aren't involved in negotiations, the coaches aren't involved in any of it and it's all sponsors, how does Michigan offer 10 mil and how does LSU match? Wouldn't it be Michigan's collective offers and LSUs collective matches? What if LSUs collective chooses not to?
Remember, the popular theory(bullshite) is that the universities and coaches have absolutely nothing to do with negotiations and $ offers. If that's true what's to stop LSU boosters/money men from saying no regardless of Kelly or Sloans wishes? Doesn't add up does it? Because none of it holds any truth.
Add in the fact that every major conference school has agreed/confirmed the operating budget beginning in 2025 at 20-22 million per roster. How do they do that if it's all sponsors money? Why would it matter if one collective is richer than another if the budget is the same? Doesn't add up does it? The reason they all know is because it's tv money which is known and in fact university $. Kind of puts holes in the 'it's not university money" theory doesn't it?

I think its a mix of tv revenue money and old institutional private wealth money.

It’s not coming directly from the schools. The money is put in by donors to a pool and yeah, the coaches have a say in who gets paid what, but it’s still not “money from the school”. We just use the term “LSU offered” in a colloquial sense.

Unless Hurley has drastically improved since high school since he has been on campus I don’t see that happening.

Well he was 16 when he enrolled and during his junior season which was his senior year so I’d guess he has improved drastically.

If true, I can’t imagine the kid sticking with his commitment. It’s just too much to turn down.
