A lot of people on this board feel that he will be a grey shirt. Nothing official about that will be made till NSD. IMO he deserves a scholly even if we get Bridgewater as well. I know a lot of people expect a LB commit or two instead but I'll take 3 QBS with the problems we've had after the RP blow up, especially since this kid has a pretty high ceiling.

Hopefully LSU doesn't make a practice of offering scholly's as important as QB to HS sophomore. And expect it to stick.

If we land Bridgewater...we need to greyshirt somewhere else. Like Thomas. All 3 QBs need to be developed ASAP considering Mettengberger can leave any year and QB is the biggest need on the team. Greyshirt to him might mean he leaves. Not worth the risk, IMO. Someone like Thomas didn't even play his Senior year. But they probably have more candidates they can look at, particularly guys with low offers like Martin. All our DBs have size and could be hybrids anyway.

ZM should have to stay at least 2 yrs since he will only be a sophomore this coming season.

Don't they get around grayshirts, now? Just pay your way the first year, and walk on. You get to W/O, and you never play so you never use up a year of eligibility. Now, I don't know if its feesable, but I'd heard that about Cam Fordham, but don't know if its true. Anyone know the rules?

No. He redshirted. He is eligible for the draft after his Sophomore season.
