I live in NELA and kids here usually don't feel the south La (LSU)vibe alot. I wish they did more but Bama, TCU, ole piss and state are close as the crow flies. Put in an interstate from Monroe to Alexandria and shite would change. Hopefully Hootie changes things but I see it 50/50 at best. CGIII will take the sting off a little though.

The ratio of high end talent leaving the state from n la vs s la ismuch higher now especially since there is much less talent up there. If Hootie goes, that would be four players from the area going to bama in one year, with one being arguably the best player in the nation. That is unacceptable and embarrassing for a program like LSU. Les needs to start using some of the same tactics that bama is using. We don't need to go out and hire Trooper Taylor, but we should have made Cam an offer he couldn't refuse, simple as that. There are ways to send a message that bama will not keep poaching our best players every other year. The best lineman to ever come out of Louisiana is worth that and if you want to stop bama from winning six in a row that is the type of player you need to get.
