Oh well, then that makes the staff look smarter. The kid was obviously trying to stir up some sort of excitement with his recruitment and they caught on to his act

I have no doubt Howard was definitely interested in LSU pre-NCG-Fail.
I actually never felt stronger about a "late" OOS recruit than I did about Tracy. With a good showing in the title game & a visit, I thought he was LSU's to lose.
He had watched the Tigers dominate with swag throughout the season and wanted to be a part of it, especially after seeing the Arkansas & Georgia games. He saw UF & FSU lose in their big games and he wanted to be part of a young LSU machine that was destroying teams and looking like they were having fun doing it. He scheduled his LSU visit for Jan 20th and said he would likely decide where he was going after that visit.
Then he watched LSU tank it in a the biggest of all games, & probably thought "That's the team I want to leave my state for? I could do the same at UF and maybe help turn them around."
Right after the MNC fail, rumors surfaced he changed his Jan 20th visit from LSU to UF.
I am an eternal optimist hoping he still gives LSU a visit next weekend, but deep down I feel he made up his mind to be a Gator since Jan 9th and just needed a UF visit to confirm it.
