This feels just like Leo Lewis's recruitment unfortunately, I'm not getting my hopes up anymore.

The new coach at MSU, Ben Howland, is a good coach who's players hated playing for. That's primarily why he was fired at UCLA.
.
"Howland's popularity dropped as the Bruins' success waned . . . There was criticism about his perceived tight-fisted control, in games and with the team and staff. There were concerns about the number of players who transferred, though only a few found success elsewhere: Drew Gordon (New Mexico), Mike Moser (Nevada Las Vegas), Chace Stanback (UNLV) and Matt Carlino (Brigham Young)."
.
CJJ has a reputation as a coach who lets creative players create without hampering their God-given abilities. My understanding is that a lot of players appreciate this in a coach.

Yes I do. I really doubt he ends up
At MSU. Just doesn't make sense. Even with Malik they are average at best for the next 2 years.

MSU can pay more. Plain and simple.

Can we just say this is Bobby Jindal's fault?

If it was about money, he'd be going to UK.

We need to get Mattress Mack to back LSU and sever his Aggie ties. Let him teach his own business course at the B-school and let him buy players like Malik for JJ with all his coke money.

So Calipari just came out and said he expects 5-7 underclassmen to leave for the NBA. Haven't followed Newman's recruiting much but has he ruled out Kentucky or are they very much in the picture?
