According to most sites, its a Texas/Florida battle, with LSU on the outside looking in.
Considering both may not have a coach next month, I like our chances even as small as they may be.

Just think of it as, the kids are making business decisions. Right now the #1 business in the world is that other school. No matter how hard we try, we will never be able to keep all our talent in state for various reasons.

espescially when we assign crappy recruiters to north Louisiana.

Yeah that definitely doesn't help, but their is no way to mask the unreal success that is going on just a few miles away. Hopefully we can learn from this year and fix whatever the recruiting issues are in North La.

Holy shite this thread caught a case of the weeping vaginas. If anything the writing on the wall says that Hootie has stood Bama up repeatedly and will visit LSU last before announcing. They pressed him HARD for a commitment and he didn't give one.
I like bucc but you guys have to stop taking whatever he posts so literally, most of it is paysite crap that was pulled out of thin air.

Why, Mr. Gage? Your son will have his college paid in full somewhere. May not be LSU, but he will get his shot somewhere.

Did you read hootie's interview with tiger bait on yesterday? he said the total opposite. He said bama did not press him at all. They said to make the decision that is best for you. There was no pressure for him to commit
took off quote.. not sure i could do that

Memphis must be a hack - and some of you actually believed him

Don't think Memphis is a hack. Hootie will be a tiger

I don't know who this bucc character is, I'm just thinking the last month of this guy's recruitment does not bode well for LSU with the way he is constantly adjusting the schedule. I thought he was all LSU a few months back, but has been wavering recently and something is not adding up. It is OK to disagree.
I may be wrong, and really don't care if I am right. Just stating that these guys will always make the decisions they think is best for them/family. If that means he comes to LSU great if he doesn't we need to figure out why and try to address it.

Did anyone ever ponder the notion that he may have told Bama (and lsu) directly or indirectly - that he is committing to LSU. And Bama, being the pressing people that they are keep asking him to at least give them an official with his mom and whomever else family he wants to bring.
The telling sign to me is that he has repeatedly said that this is his decision. And he will make it based off what's good for him and for his family. Mrs. Jones hasn't made it to T-Town and life keeps interfering. Why would he be signing with a place of which his mother has never seen?
Remember a couple of things. Rasco was all but signed and sealed to Florida until his mom begged him to consider LSU. This happened b/c of Les' ability to recruit mothers equally as well as players.
If it comes down to winning mothers over, no one in the country is better than Les Miles. Don't believe me, then why does every recruit that signs with lsu say it "feels like family".
That's why getting his mom on campus is huge. If she comes vs A&M.. it's over and We got the player, person, and star we so badly need on defense and special teams

no worries Cous
Just find it funny that people will find "facts" or info that furthers their current disdain for LSU, Miles, Football, or life in general. There is so much negativity in our fanbase for football right now, people are latching on to whatever else will keep dragging them down.
The factual matter is, for this class, that LSU's staff has worked their butts off since these kids were freshmen in high school or beyond. The remaining majority of the undecided players are all from LA. At some point, those relationships pay dividends and I can see the staff being very pleased with the results coming February and NSD.
Got to finish strong and it starts with Hootie next weekend.

I concur. Recently it did seem like he was leaning towards Bama, but the past 2 or 3 weeks has looked more and more like its LSU. That's my opinion anyway. I think he flirted with the idea of leaving very seriously, but he's realizing why he liked LSU in the 1st place and his mother is only reassuring him of that. I think we get him.
