If we lose out on Jarrell Martin to any team Collis Temple is getting kicked in the balls. Then booed.

I thought this hire was low point for LSU basketball. That would certainly be lower if the terrorists you caved to dont make the payment to Martin... Er, I mean get him to commit

Not a great time but let's pump the dramatic breaks a bit.

If he doesn't crush it on the recruiting front my current support is going to wane in a hurry.

Shane Hammink is impressive. Level of competition is suspect, but I just watched some of the available highlights of the kid and he's a rich man's Derenbecker. Athletic, good shooter. Lefty but uses both hands as if they're dominant. Would be a very nice addition to this team.

Sorry was looking at 2011 UNT recruits. Hard to know anything about the JUCO big he has committed, but we may have to take someone like that to have big bodies for the season.

Well, one thing for sure is that Johnny Jones had to hit the recruiting trail hard and heavy and often at North Texas to get those guys to go to school and play for him out there, so...I think he can do some late date recruiting for LSU.

Hiring Jones should lock up Coleman and Hammink. Afterall, he coached Geert.

Needs to land a juco big or two. Gathers? I have doubts he is still in play. That would silence a lot of doubters quickly, however.

David Taylor should be a lock as well. Jarrell Martin, Brian Bridgewater and Damien Jones in 2013 will be the first big referendum on Jones' hire. The faction that got him hired did so under the premise of locking down Louisiana. We will see if they can deliver.

I don't know if the word of Livingston and Chris Oney joining the staff is legit, but I am hopeful. Both are very good.

Thoughts on Jones bringing the JUCO big he had committed to UNT with him? If anyone around here knows about him it's you.

I think $$$ is probably whats standing in the way of Hammink and Gathers. Level of Euro Pro League interest in Hammink(his future is most likely there anyway). And Gathers, well, his actions the past year seem to indicate he is interested in the free market

I don't think Quannas can take the admin job, because of his AAU relationship with Morgan. Has to be a full coaching role.
