just re-read your post...
didn't realize you were referring to Ellis
my apologies... but still, people tend to believe that ab crutchfield also

So a head coach that has a background with Alabama goes out and hires the father of a recruit that LSU didnt offer and went with TAMU, and has been very public with his feelings toward LSU since then. Makes me cringe

No worries
Didnt want you thinking I feel that way towards Crutchfield, because I dont. When he was first hired, of course I was worried
especially because LF was there. But he has been nothing but respectful and has done it the right way. No problem with Crutch at all.
Noel Ellis Sr on the other hand, is a different story. Especially considering how he acted towards LSU publicly.
5Alive, any news on if this is true or false?

Noel Ellis Jr just tweeted it so I assume it's true

Really excited to see my Popz @OG_NOE_504 back into coaching football. It's something he loves and I just know he's gonna excel at his job!!

It was also tweeted out by someone the other day, but the AD at St. Aug wasnt aware of the hire as of yesterday evening.
Posted on 3/29/14 at 5:42 pm to KG5989
so you are saying the ad doesn't get envolved in hiring football coaches. also, at a lot of schools, the head fb coach is the ad.

What?
No... just relaying what 5Alive posted yesterday in this exact same thread.

2003 was Ben. 2004 was a down year as far as upper tier athletes but a lot went on to play good college ball, rahim went to LSU that year, and then 2005 was the storm year.
like I said, D....

you really are a dipshit

What bothers me is the need to bash the other players themselves, from the uncle or whoever wrote the comments.
Ok, you don't like Miles or LSU, fine. But to slam the kids that were more highly ranked than your kid is just a bad attitude for a coach to have...imagine if he had been coaching White or Claiborne

The Head coach goes out and hired his staff but all final calls go through after a meeting with the AD.same as yesterday he is not hired
Posted on 3/31/14 at 12:15 pm to 5Alive
thats a contradiction. what does the hc do. does he HIRE or does he RECOMMEND? in any event, it looks bad to have this info. out in the public without the ad knowing anything about it.

Well, it does make a difference if it's the uncle or Sr. Having said that, I agree with you.
Knocking other high school kids should be a cardinal sin in the coaching ranks.

The stuff about Tre White getting his 5th star and all that was his Dad. His Uncle is the 1 on twitter that has constantly just bashed LSU.
Posted on 3/31/14 at 6:24 pm to oldschoolgreats
It's on frickkng twitter. Since when does the ad control that?
Guess I gotta break it down the coach picks his staff but all coaches on staff have to come thru the AD before anything is official. Better?

5alive, i was just saying how does the hc tell CANDIDATES OR OTHERS before he tells the ad. ad should be the first to know and should not hear about it from twitter or other contacts.

GTFO Trolling.
He has done zero favors for LSU so if LSU fans want to feel a certain way about him then we will do so.
Go ahead tell me what he has done to help LSU since you are on a LSU recruiting board and that one of the main things we care about outside of the kids themselves.
