I agree 10000%. As much as I wanted him to pick LSU, it's his time. But, who knows what's going on behind closed doors. It's their family. Still kind of sucks for him. Good luck and still hope to see him in P&G

To be honest I dont think LC looked excited about his decision. He looked like oh shite I just let my family down. May be he likes the whole shock effect empowerment ego. If so, prolly best he not be on our team.

Strange announcement. Gotta be something going on under the roof. We'll see, none of our business.

I agree with this. Family should have put their personal feelings aside and supported him.
Honestly I think she's probably more upset about him choosing his GF over her than the school thing.

he whined when he heard his mom might not make it, and then she puts in extra effort to get there just so he can wave those ugly gloves in his face?
I don't feel bad for him at all.

So he leaves for gumpland and has his fun and his family stay s here and deals lives with his decision (how do think a walk through walmart will be for them next week?) She just made her life without landon a bit easier for herself.

He seemed genuinely excited to be going to UA.
At the end of the day, he is the teenager with a national television audience (recipe for success, amirite?), and she is the adult. Disapprove? Spend the next month pushing him towards LSU. Don't make it awkward.
He chose a good SEC program over another good SEC program. It's not like he is going to Serbia to play professional ball and has an Antonio Cromartie-sized family on the way.
Hopefully, she can push him towards LSU, and

From what I hear its just his Mom that wants him to go to LSU. His Dad is big Bammer.

Good luck to the kid. I wish him well except when he plays the tigers

He will change his mind.. Book it!!! He is going to get a ton of backlash and on NSD he will flip.

Absolutely wrong. His dad loves LSU too.

the lack of support by LC's family made me feel badly for him. I've been a die hard LSU fan all my life, but if my son or daughter chose a rival school over my alma mater, I'd support them all the way.
Yes, absolutely.
But if my son called up both schools and kept them in it so he could "have a moment" and then shoved gloves in my face, I would bitchslap him, kick him out of the house.

His mom knows her golden boy just became the most hated 17 year old in Louisina! He is a traitor and needs to never be welcomed back in La. Anybody that says otherwise is just a wuss!

It would hurt my feelings as a parent if my kid skipped the powerhouse right down the road for no better of a situation 6 hours away.
There is absolutely no ties to go to Bama or any great advantages.
Who the frick are you to say what is a better situation for Landon Collins? Or what school provides more advantages? Perhaps he's developed better relationships there. Or maybe he feels like he needs to leave the nest to grow as a man. Who the frick knows or cares.
And his mom can get the frick over it. There will be plenty of parents shipping their young sons off Afghanistan and the like, she can handle driving a few hours to watch her soon-to-be-millionaire son play for a different great college football program.

Are all of you really that far from what really happens in the world?
Mom did it to ensure you assholes weren't calling her home threatening to burn it down. She supported the TIGERS because she's a fan, but mostly because of those of YOU that would be harassing and threatening her family up to February 1st (signing day) or until you grew up a little and realized just how childish you were acting.

And anybody that truly believes what you just wrote is an absolute meatball.
He's an American kid. He has the right to choose to play for any school he wishes. Do I like his decision? Not in the least, but no one player is bigger than LSU.
