It's sad that some of you automatically discount Clemson when it comes to recruiting, especially when it comes to a "Clemson vs. any school in the SEC" recruiting battle.
Clemson would be a better choice for a number of kids than many SEC schools - Ole Miss, Miss. State, aTm, Missouri, Arkansas, Vandy, Tennessee (right now). But, Auburn, Bama, Florida and LSU account for the last 6 BCS championships, and 7 out of the last 9. USCe is a good school for such a kid (and at least as good a choice as Clemson), although one has to question if Spurrier will still be the coach when you graduate, and UGA is probably a superior choice, especially in this case for a kid from the Peach State.
I usually describe Clemson as the Syracuse of the south. Take that FWIW.

Maybe Clemson should stop spending all their money on players and pay to get someone that's worth a shite as a head coach. Until they do that, they'll continue to fold under pressure like they always do.
Just curious, but are reference that Clemson spends money on their recruting efforts? Or are you suggesting that the pay their players?

There are plenty of SEC and NFL caliber players in the ACC.
Yes, thank you for that gem. We know, we know.
What I am saying is that a superstar like RN, can become a D. Bowers much easier in the ACC vs the SEC.
SEC provides too much depth, game in and game out, while the ACC can make a star look like a superstar.
Why are you being so retarded on this?

I love the irony of this statement. its you that's being retarded if you think guys become superstars in the ACC just because they play lesser competition. The SEC prodcues superstars. RN has great potential. He can be great in ANY BCS conference.
If your theory were correct, then all the good players should go outside the SEC. To much risk. This is the problem of zero sum thinking. The SEC is the best conference, so you take that too literally. The SEC has more good players, they are not super men and not every team in the SEC is 2011 LSU or Bama.

I think this is where 'zero sum' thinking leads you.
I don't recall saying anything all SEC teams being LSU and Alabama.
You simply seem to be splitting hairs to prove a valid point (yes, you have a valid point), but barking up the wrong tree; so folks will hear you bark, I suppose.
ETA: As in, 15+ posts per day barking. And now I'm just one more person that sees what the content is.

I see it like this:
Go to another conference, pad stats and play against lesser opponents (yes, there are NFL caliber players at other schools, but it's closer to an NFL roster in the SEC)
Or play in the SEC against top talent week in and week out. Preps better for the NFLand there's really no arguing that.

Uggghhh, plenty of players choose not to got to the SEC so they have a better chance of shining. Heck how often (all the time) do you see players that want to go to school X end up someplace else becuase school X got a commit from some stiff competition.
Better to be a big fish in a little pond sometimes.

When are they going to get the death penalty? They are buying kids left and right, OPENLY, and the NCAA is just letting it happen.
Clemson showed him what he was wanting to see... It sucks for the Tigers but we will move on and keep re loading....
