Clemson is a great college town, and for kids looking to get away from inner city influences is perfect. Baton Rouge, not so much. It's a quaint little village in the foothills and very spirited.

Long time to go. Married Clemson season tickets. Great route to first round, but no rings in the future. Let him go, he and Clowney can face off for best in show.

Besides,...won't happen

Said the person that kept saying he was bama bound.. There are a lot of people on here that think they are all-knowing, but mostly they just want people to think that they are, me I don't know shite..

LSU needs to get on this guy harder than ever. Get Gilmore, Prevot and Williams on board. Sell to Nkemdiche and the rest the greatest dline in history.

You don't think Clemson is selling him on being part of a Montravious Adams, Michael Hill and Greg Gilmore DL class?

Doesn't Hill live in a town next to Clemson? Is he Clemson/SC battle?

What are Clemson's chances with the other guys you listed? That sure would be a good D-line class, especially to go with that LB class they signed last year. Although I guess those LB's would be Sr's by the time these DL HS kids would really be ready to contribute on the field at Clemson

Yea Hill could prob ride his bike to Clemson. He'll be an instate battle. Right now USC is ahead. His coach is a big USC homer and Hill is more of a big city guy. If NSD was tomorrow he'd be a Gamecock no doubt, still a long way to go with him however.

As for the others, Adams is a Clemson-Auburn battle that's prob 50-50 right now. He and Nkemdiche know each other so that could help Clemson. Gilmore and Nkemdiche are also close and Clemson is in good shape with him. Adding those 4 to go along with Carlos Watkins from last year would be scary. I also think Nkemdice and Adams are absolutely day one type contributors so they would be playing with that LB class as juniors.

If they sign that haul Clemson's front seven will be as stout as anyone not named Alabama or LSU, they needa pickup the DB recruiting however. They just got a stud 2014 safety from Texas and if they can somehow steal Fuller from VT this recruiting class will change the future of the program (and this comes from someone who doesn't think Dabo could our coach Gerry Dinardo).

to be fair.....Saban even then>>>>> Dabo. Dabo could possibly be unemployed if not for chad morris. I think he's an awful coach.

Certainly Saban is/was a much better coach and Dabo maybe be lousy coach, that's not really the point. Its amazing to me that LSU fans can sit here and act like a team that's been a 2nd or 3rd tier team, good sometimes, not ever elite by any means, could not ever become good by you, recruiting better players.

Yeah, you just described a place to retire. Not go to college.

Easier to dominate in the ACC? Look at what it did for launching Mario Williams (NC State) and the plethora of UNC defensive linemen. If it was a 3-way tie between LSU, Alabama and Clemson, is it possible this entered into his mind (assuming it was not money entering into his billfold)? Probably not. He probably just liked it better at Clemson combined with it being closer to his home in Ga.

Clemson had some good Dlineman too. They recruited one of the top players just a few years ago on the dline and he turned into a beast.

This helps set up an interesting question.
Which program recruits more talent, with less results (in wins and losses, bowls, conf championships, etc.), Fla State or Clemson?

Dabo: "robert, guys like daquan bowers are made in a shite-arse ACC conference like this. What would u rather do; get dominated by lsu/bama in a bowl once a year or get dominated by lsu/bama in two*a*days five times a week? Its your choice, but I'll take nc state, fsu, vtech and boston college as competitors over msu, vandy, lsu and bama any day"
