Wasn't implying that you misinterpreted the word. Was talking about the OP and his choice of words by saying visiting.

I can't speak as to what Saban actually did, just putting it out there that Saban visiting his school is not a violation. There are SR. prospects at Dutchtown that the visit could also be used for.Not that Saban is really recruiting any of them but the intent doesn't matter if it can't be proven.Either way he can talk to the Dutchtown coaches about Collins if he wants to.It's not against the rules.Every coach in the country visits JR prospects schools during this time of year.

Heard he was talking to Effrem Reed. Don't know how true that is, just what I heard.

That's who I was implying that he may actually be there to see.If they miss on Crowell and Quan Bray then they may take Reed.

jdg918 I don't think we get Collins. I hear he is not a big LSU fan. I would be shocked if he picked a school just to play with a kid he outplayed as a sophomore in high school.

If that is the case, Reed can expect a tremendous jump in the ratings.

Capstone,Did the rules change or is Saban using his in home very early?I know it used to be 1 for a head coach.Seems a little early to be visiting Clowney since he is going to wait until NSD anyway.Maybe feels the need to get it done to catch up a little?Just curious to the reasoning, thanks.

He didn't make the visit tonight, as there was bad weather in South Carolina. Saban will be in Rock Hill tomorrow night. As for making one an in-home this early, he's done that in the past, at least at Alabama, with the more highly sought after prospects.

I have heard this on this site a few times now. I hope there is not truth to it...

Yet Eric Reid is playing for LSU as a true freshman..
