Hold a sec ... Rummy had a thread a few weeks back that stated no FB info.
IMO they are making valid points and here is why.
It's because of several reasons. Accounts can be hacked, recruits play jokes, Coaches can change their minds last minute, and it's just not a solid source.

and not to mention, kinda creepy. Abedeeba is about about the only exception to the rule IMO. He is in high school, friends with em, and has a legit reason to be interacting. However, I still give two shits about what someone's facebook says.

I just want the board to be entertaining, thats how you get people to follow here.
If this board was made just for a few people then it wouldnt be accessable to everyone.
I think this website wants hits, unless I am mistaken.
And that shite last night had many many hits.
No one source is 100%.

Okay well I will just set things straight. I don't claim to have any inside information. I am still in high school and I like talking to other kids my age about football. I love the game but I realized that I would never make it in football. So I started thinking about trying to be a coach of some sort or a trainer type because football is what I want to do with my life. I really like recruiting because it makes of breaks your program and that intrigues me. The information that I post is what I have gotten from a conversation, a opinion that I form from a conversation or an opinion that I gather myself about a recruit. I don't take praise from anyone. I just say I try. Because that is all I really do. I am not and insider and I never asked to be in a recruiting group. I don't mind being in it because people know about how I get my info and they take it into their on perspective. I don't refute any info people post unless it is absurd. Because you never know what can happen in recruiting. Mickey Johnson is a prime example. So to anyone that wants to bash me go ahead.

Seriously though, the issue is that the "information" you are putting out there is hardly reliable. Sure it's word of mouth from the recruits, and you maintain these are guys you've met and all, but honestly, to them you're basically a stranger.
The way guys like Shea operate is by having 2 things: 1) A brand 2) A profession. They use those "ins" and then it's up to their skill to build report with the recruit... and sometimes they become tight with them and are privy to information other reporters may not be.. but even that has flaws and is circumstantial. But they also have other people to bounce the information off of and they better than to take any and everything a HS kid says at face value.
That's really the bottom line... what you tell people here is "what you hear" and you trust that information... even though it's hardly reliable.
