naw. hook me up.
i saw the army stuff.
first off, Markeith Ambles = NEXT.
He owns anyone, anywhere, anytime. Those hands, arms and legs are nothing to joke about. Calvin Johnson, who? And I am serious.
Second, Terrance Casper is overrated. Cant get off the line and has really no speed to overcome his lack of power.
At this point, I also love Brenden Felder. Kid is just a beast.

Nevermind. I thought Haynes participated, but I just watched it again, and he didn't.
He obviously has the measurables (and the outright love for LSU), but his ball skills need improvement IMHO.
truth.

Agreed. #1 WR for 2010. Top 10.
Kyle Prater really impressed me during his Army drills video. He looked like a 5 star as well.

He looked pathetic. What is he rated at currently?
I remember watching the video for the first time and thinking the same thing you just stated. Guy is a string bean, with no power, and no speed/accelleration. He is tall...thats about it.

I'll have to look him up.

Ro,
You need to contact Nick Parker and tell him the LSU fans want him to play football in Tiger Stadium on Saturday nights. That should be enough to lock him up for 2010. Really I would like more information on this guy.
Thanks in advance.

I noticed some of the lists so far only include mainly LA prospects. I saw maybe 3-4 oos kids on there. Im sure there are a few more out of Texas we are looking at and Im sure Florida as well. Anybody hear anything out of those regions as far as kids LSU has a good shot at.

It'll be interesting to see what happens with the new staff. Some guys that I felt confident about earlier now come into question because of the relationships that they built with departed coached. BDP had a huge effect in Texas and parts of Georgia, Lane in Florida, and Henson (allegedly leaving) along the gulf coast.
Guys like Carrington Byndom (DB, Lufkin, TX) and Toney Hurd Jr. (DB, Missouri City, TX) performed great at summer camp last year. Will Mallory's departure hurt because of the relationship they began to forge there?
Junior day is coming up and it is probably my favorite recruiting day of the year (yes, even over signing day).
Here's a post I did about 3 months ago. Most of the OSS guys on it have had a write up on Scout or Rivals since then.

Great work Hand. I remember that list from awhile back. Thats what I was looking for in this thread. A few oos to mix with the local talent.
It should be interesting to see how well we recruit oos. The new coaches can also bring some new areas into the fold for us, while we cont. to work those newly formed roads into Florida and Texas and the Gulf. Its hard to say how well it will all work out for us, but it seems the LSU product will continue to sell itself.
It seems all those damn day games might just work in our favor some, at least in recruiting.

Why no talk of Michael Dyer? His highlight video shows an amazing mix of power and speed. He runs great in traffic.

Rouge,
What do you mean by "Remember The Titans"?

DB Ricky Irvin, Westlake 6-1 215
DB Rob Donovan Lewis, Jonesboro-Hodge 5-11 175

Keep an eye on Karl Butler from Brother Martin as a corner/safety. Here's the interview DD did with him.
quote:
After interviewing Eric Reid I interviewed Karl Butler (DB, 6'1", 180, 4.55) from Brother Martin high school. Butler has a 3.3 GPA and a 22 on the ACT. Butler is hearing from Connecticut, Auburn, Oregon, LSU, Clemson and many more. He told me that he would like to take official visits to LSU, Connecticut and Clemson. Butler also takes part in track and field, excels as a high jumper and had a best jump of 6'5" in the class 5-A track and field meet. During the 2008 season, Butler recorded 20 tackles, four interceptions and 25 break-ups. Butler made All-District, All-Metro and Honorable Mention All-State in 2008. Butler's high school coaches speak very highly of him. Butler has been invited to attend junior day and his favorite NFL team is the Ravens.

Dyer was all LSU, but since then he's pretty much declared himself an unofficial Hog. Will be a tough pull to get him away from Petrino. He is a phenom though.

I think the Nick Parker is the power RB LSU is looking for and he has played better competition than M. Dyer out of Arkansas. I just think MD has to much wear on those legs and he still has a year to go.

What up Born
I saw Dyer highlight when i was in Arkansas during the hurricane...He looked terrible that game.
