Without going back and researching exact numbers I'm confident Saban wasn't recruiting a Top 1-3 class until he won a championship at Bama.

We won his first title at Bama in 2009, he had 4 top 2-3 classes by then, 2003, 04 at LSU and 08-09 at Bama. the 2001 class at LSU was also a top 5 class at worst, but there are not accurate rankings beyond 2002 for some reason.

I'm not sure what more you idiots want from Orgeron at this point considering the fact that his first class closed ridiculously strong

That's a stretch. Lost Akers, Wilson and Mathis and made a rookie move with the QB out of California, causing Myles to decommit.
He was the recruiting coordinator and kept most of the staff. Im not saying he didnt do a "good" job, but ridiculously strong? Thats just not true.

Hes on a path to signing a 7-10+ class this year, unless he does finish ridiculously strong. There should be some concern about the lack of 4-5 star players. Who knows if these players are underrated, but slipping in recruiting is unacceptable for O. This class as it stands, just isnt good enough.

Do not get caught up in the #3 rating at this point, its because of the sheer number of recruits LSU has vs the rest of the big boys that are being more selective with their offers. The avg. score of each player is way more important than the cumulative score, early in the recruiting cycle.

This class as it sits today, wont be anywhere near the top 5 come February.
