Did you not want him to commit originally? It screwed us in the end, but what's wrong with a kid changing his mind? It's America and he is allowed to do that even if it negatively affects your football team.

He asked how was it a negative, thus the example of Filepe was given......don't need your help I'm a big boy.

Why wouldn't you commit early? It basically ensures you a college education. If you get hurt, then all offers can come off table. Harder to pull offer to committed player no matter how bad the injury. Then, all you have to do is switch when you decide. Morally correct, maybe not, but logical, yes.

Huh? A commit means absolutely nothing. It's literally just a dude saying what his plans are. If the player gets hurt the school is not under any obligation to take them. I could commit to play for LSU tomorrow and it carries the same weight as any of these HS kids.

Narcisse and Thompson are the only two noted in state QBs and both are commited outside the state...

I get down voted and will continue to be, but Narcisse is a very raw Qb prospect. He's an elite athlete, not an elite Qb. He does have the arm strength, but this kid has a lot of work to do before he gets on the field in a system like LSU. Hopefully, he will have a couple of years to do so. It would not shock me to see him play another position though. That being said, he has a lot of natural arm talent and can be taught anything he is lacking. That hasn't proven to be our strength though.

Couldn't agree with you more. Seen him play in live game action and there's work to do. It's very different in 7 on 7 action. When bullets are flying at him from defenders it's been a different story. The thing that sets him apart right now has been his athleticism and ability to scramble and make plays with his feet. Arm strength is very good however.

With all that said I think he's going to be a good one. Just not as a freshman in college. Not many are.

Maybe he's reconsidering Clemson?

Clemson's definitely a team to watch, but they have two QB commits for '17, one of which is a 5*.

Can y'all imagine the craziness if recruits weren't allowed to commit publically before signing day? Like if people had less of an idea where pretty much everyone was going it would be almost like NFL draft day.

All the bad rumors would be insane. Hamm would have a field day

so much for making a public commitment at your school on your birthday. Wonder if he will recommit during his next birthday? #july27th

Unless we revamp our offensive scheme it would pointless for him to come here.
