MSU, A&M offer Central (LA) DL, where’s LSU?

With the understanding that LSU likes to be 100% certain with its in-state offers …
Class of 2025 DL DK Mays of Central, a 20 minute drive from Tiger Stadium, has been offered by two SEC foes this week.
We hear relationships won out time and again. Whether it’s NIL or being behind in offers, it’s a major problem.
Reliford being offered as late as he was. McKinley’s offer was behind everyone else’s.

It’s just BKs speed man. He isn’t a big recruiting guy and must not think it provides too much value

Ok he’s a DL that can’t be found in the rankings not even in the state rankings. If he committed to LSU, the staff would be absolutely gutted by fans for signing low ranked players. LSU, CBK and staff HAVE to get Blue chippers on board- Berry, Simon, Antoine, Amos, Harper, Moses They are a must for 25 all highly rated and right here-

Most movement doesn’t happen until junior-senior years. If aTm is offering, they think he’s good enough to be on the team. There’s no reason for us to be late to the table for a guy 20 minutes away. Yet, here we are. Again.
This staff sucks at recruiting.

Out of state schools hand out offer like candy. They don’t have to ever follow up if they choose not to.
If this kid isn’t any good, LSU has a bigger problem on its hands by backing off.
This is common in recruiting. I guarantee we have plenty of offers for Texas kids out right now that haven’t heard a word from Texas or ATM.

I was praying we would go hard after Omarion Miller last year but we didn’t. Saw him play against Neville last year and that was the best receiver I had ever seen at the high school level and I’ve seen many. We cooled off of him, but we still could have gotten him after seeing what he was doing his senior year. But we didn’t. Dude had 196 yards receiving as a true freshman yesterday against USC. Would have been big having him, especially for next year.

Then everyone I mentioned above will all be 5*s, he may get better but if we get the tops in La 25 we won’t have to reach. Maybe atm had alternative reasons to get in on him, probably not a commit offer. If he’s not developed yet and he doesn’t have any other offers I imagine he’d jump on atm offer if it was legit.

This will be another case of LSU waiting to offer until senior camp eval after Texas A&M has already established a relationship.
Then we’ll hear the chicken littles make excuses on signing day that “he was always leaving the state!!”

No, if A&M is offering they think he MIGHT be good enough. If he doesn’t develop they’ll just retract the offer, even if he has committed. That’s something LSU won’t do with in state guys.

It’s not that we won’t ever do it; it’s that we won’t intentionally do it. If a guy we offered doesn’t pan out LSU will retract. But they are more careful about that with instate guys.
A&M can come in here and take commitments than dump them later, just like Bama has been doing. And we’ll do that out of state.
