You do realize that every cancer is actually a different type of disease, do you not? And that breast cancer is a type that the medical community has had very little success with as far as developing drugs to fight it?

The most impressive thing I saw was the effort he had on the two point conversion where he took that option pitch and cut back across the field.

Well them wearing pink doesn't generate any revenue towards the cause, Those kids don't wear pink thinking of breast cancer awareness. They are just worried about "swagging out" because the NFL players do it.

Hey Penrod, here's a new name for you. Nimrod.

Some people just don't get it.

Don't be too harsh. Maybe some day OP will have a relationship with a woman and come to understand the concerns of breast cancer.

Breast cancer affects men too...something like 30% of cases are in men.

he was pretty amazing. Can't wait to see him in P&G. Kenny young was the only one able to tackle him. He could play on my team anytime.

You want to talk about a cancer that they've had no success with try ATRT. It's a rare brain cancer that my 13 month old nephew died from after spending the majority of his life at St Jude.

If I was a St Aug skill player I'd have a chat with the QB, he hung them out to dry a few times. Impressed with the patience LF had allowing plays to develop.

Its for breast cancer douche... good cause.
Fair enough. But how many young men are going to get breast cancer?. . . Obviously, the awareness isn't for them, it's for their mothers, sisters, etc. But what about prostate cancer? More men get prostate cancer each year than women get breast cancer. Let that fact sink in. Or lung cancer? Which kills more people each year than breast and prostate cancer combined. But I never see light blue socks and wristbands and shoes and penalty flags in September (prostate cancer awareness month), even though people who watch football are more likely to get prostate cancer than breast cancer. And I never see white socks, wrists bands, etc. in November (lung cancer awareness month).

There's nothing wrong with raising awareness for breast cancer. Raising awareness is a good thing. I'm just wondering what makes breast cancer so special. . .

ETA: Sorry for derailing thread. LF is awesome.

Everyone has stories about family and friends they've lost to all sorts of illness and disease. Find a charity and donate money to help fight ATRT. I lost my brother to a rare cancer that started in one of his salivary glands, but it doesn't bother me that football teams were pink to elevate awareness for another disease.

It's a money grab by the NFL and apparel companies. It's a way to get women to tune in as well as sell a ton of gloves/towels/socks/wristbands that would NEVER get purchased otherwise.

That's just not at all true. The ribbons are fine, but breast cancer treatment is one of the biggest success stories around against cancer.

After last night and the Karr game, I concur that LF is comparable to Adrian Peterson. LF is such a complete back. I pray he comes here and starts day one.
