My choice has to be Minter, based on need and talent. What do yall think?

Easily Shepard.
Talent, character, and his ability to promote and recruit for LSU.

To me I'd have to say Davenport since TreJ and TyJ and KP are leaving!!

Honestly I see your point with Minter (a solid LB that might be able to set the tone for LB play in the coming years) but you still gotta go with Shep. I think he's perhaps one of the most commits so far...........in the history of this program.
We can't say for certain until after but he has all the tools to be incredible both on and off the field.

A solid Mike linebacker - NEED NEED NEED
I'd have Shep as a close 2nd

Shep hands down...He brings an attitude that this team is lacking.
Instead we seem to have players with "thug" issues.
That isnt condusive for optimal results when winning a championship is the goal of this team.

Every night I say a prayer that Davenport is not another AL Woods...

He is a huge need and a great talent but Shep is one of those guys that can really help elevate a program. I wouldn't quite say he is a "Tebow" type of guy yet because he still has to prove it on the field. But, regardless of your thoughts on Tebow, those type of all around packages don't come around twice in a coaches career. Shep has the ability to be special.

i knows its apples and oranges, but watching the UNC vs MSU hoops last nite, i kept imagining Shep having a Hansborough influence on the program. puts the program first, outworks everyone on the team, has been a leader since a freshman, and will do anything to win.
Minter is a close #2, and a more important positional need than Shep..but we need a leader, and Shep appears willing to be just that

I'd rather have Shep than Minter any day. Don't get me wrong, I'm excited about both, but RS is too special to not be #1 on this list. It's really no contest.

clearly it's the punter.
Slapdick.

Shep is a player that attracts other players to the team and whose attitude resonants throughout the program. Think Tebow.

Thinks Tebow but subtract 215 lbs from his bench max and .3 seconds from his forty
