Kid is 220 and was clocked at 4.45 at a Mississippi State camp last summer.

I call BS and even if he does that speed shows nowhere on film or on the field. 40 times are overrated rather shuttle and cone times to elevate football speed. I bet this guys has slow 15 yard split in the 40. He's a long strider = horrible for LB's

Check out this link from the Jackson Clarion Ledger.

The 6-foot-2, 225 pound linebacker recorded 151 tackles, three sacks, and returned two fumbles for touchdowns as a junior for the Bearcats.

With that toughness comes plenty of speed. Brown, who stars on two Long Beach relay teams and also long jumps for the track team, has run a 4.44 time in the 40. He has a 38-inch vertical.

I guess you doubt his vertical as well.

Curious.

Those measurables don't show in his play on the field, IMO.

Perhaps it is because he makes it look easy.

Richie has said this before in video interviews. He thinks that a lot of schools/recruiters dont think he is as fast as he claims due to the fact that he is white. FWIW the kid finished 5th in the state as a JR in the 100 meter dash.

I can't believe people are doubting him. A lot of people in Mississippi are pushing him for Mr. Football in Mississippi this year due to the fact that he never leaves the field.

Just think how good he would look if he only played defense.

He's definitely a beast. He's the number 2 LBer I'd like remaining, behind Perkins, but ahead of Phillips and Devall(unless Devall plays OLB or DE). He and Alford are the MS kids I'd like, but Alford and baseball make me nervous. We're going to ball out with commits at the All American games after the season we have
