I hear you, it just felt like a really close game to me that spun way out of control at the end.
Regardless, I sure there are MUCH better examples of Detillier being wrong than this. Pretty much every time I hear or read him he says at least one thing that ends up being inaccurate.

If Cotton becomes a contributor along with Moore, then that D-line is gonna be even better than I think it will.
A dominating D-line will make Aranda's very good defense an elite one - perhaps this year, but 2020 for sure.
An elite defense makes the O experiment at least a potential success. Hope it all works out.

Anyway, the score is what it is, but that game was a lot closer than it would seem if you were just looking at the final score.
I remember that game - it was as close a 21-point loss as you're ever going to see - and in fact, we looked like we were going to roll them until the Copeland fumble.
The Negas and Antifos won't hear it, but the Bama game this year was as close a game like that could be - much, much closer than the score indicates. We had Hurts on that third and very long and he just made a play, and they ultimately scored a TD on that drive. So, that play and 1 other (big) play and the game goes to OT.
Football is a game of inches and momentum - we just can't seem to get/hold either against Bama lately. But we've played them as well as anybody over the long haul that Saban has been there.
