if a 6'5 WR with the athleticism/speed numbers that Toliver is going to put up at workouts goes 3rd round or later, I'll quit posting forever.

What kind of numbers do you think he's going to put up at workouts?

This is funny. I could point to so many receivers right now, drafted third round or later, who put up numbers Toliver won't scratch.

Toliver doesn't play like a big WR at this stage either, IMO. He doesn't make too many plays over people and isn't extremely physical.

Maximus seems to be talking out of his arse a bit on this one, IMO.

college statistics? Wow, you got me! LSU has an awesome offensive scheme and QB.

lets have a loser leave the board forever bet on his draft status then. If he leaves after this year and goes outside of the first 2 rounds, i leave forever. If he goes rd 1 or 2, you leave forever. Deal?

I like Toliver and definitely see him being an NFL player, but I'm pretty sure that Fred Gibson put up more production than Toliver through his first 3 years.

I can't think of a first round pick who has less production than Toliver who went early in the draft. Meachum was a first rounder but had better stats and ran a 4.38 40. Toliver should probably stay for his senior year even if he has to enter the same draft as AJ Green and Julio Jones. I am sure every team in the NFL would prefer Golden Tate and Dez Bryant, not to mention his own teammate this year, so it's a bit of a moot point.

ok, humor me with all the 6'5 SEC WRs that have run 4.4 and went late in the draft

Where did you say anything about SEC WRs?

list out the "so many WRs" that are 6'5 and put up numbers he won't scratch, please. I feel like you are stalling.

From your statement earlier, I just have to name one and you stop posting, right?

is your reading comprehension really that bad?

Seriously, your big talk is turning into a little sputter here. Spit out the WRs today.

I'm a big fan of Toliver, but how is it a guarantee that he will run a 4.4 forty time? I think the fact that it took him a long time to understand the offense (based on quotes from Les) will hurt his stock if he comes out this year.

Of course, by staying in the program another year, he can get better at this and post some nice stats as the "go to guy".

My reading comprehension is fine, which is why I inferred you stop posting when a WR with these size and skills goes third round or later.

How about Chaz Schillens?
7th round.
4.38-40, a 43-inch vertical 10'4'' broad jump, a 4.25 shuttle, and a 6.84 three-cone drill.
6'4" 225.

And Toliver is 6'4" in reality.

well if this team did quit like it looked like they did last night, i say it's all a possibility

especially when a guy like TT sees a guy like scott and how badly his stock was destroyed, BEFORE he got hurt

nothing is a guarantee, but how slow do you think he really runs? The guy has been getting open deep since day 1 here. Regardless of having only one year of production, I just can't see him going to day 2 with his size/skill set.

I have no idea. I would guess anywhere from 4.4 to 4.55, but it's so hard to predict. That's why they have the guys run the 40s with laser timing. Dwayne Jarrett put up great numbers and always got open and probably had a 4.6 range time. I wouldn't have guessed that, for example.

SFP, Scott's stock would have been destroyed the minute he stepped up at the combine and ran a terrible 40 time. I realize that I just said I had no idea what Toliver would run, but even I know that Scott is a very slow skill player.

ETA: Besides, Lafell's stock certainly hasn't slipped this year.

please quote the text you inferred that from. Your pea brain is really holding you back in this thread.

so your laundry list of comparable players that you can easily name off hand that went later than 4th with better workout numbers includes 1 WR from San Diego state who had 7 TDs as a 3 year starter? After spending 30 minutes on google thats really what you came up with? Nice.
