so let me get this straight...you claim he was better at everything but didn't even know what position he played? You need to move on and leave further discussion to people who may have, I don know, maybe SEEN him play?

perhaps you don't understand the difference between his junior year and his junior SEASON. He was an unknown playing a new position at a mediocre football school. He had a good junior season, schools started recruiting for the rest of his junior year IN SCHOOL. LSU wasn't sold on him, they invited him to their camp, he declined and early commits to PSU.
So all of these schools that were recruiting him (as a junior) did so after he had a good SEASON and made a name for himself (as a junior).

Ding on rufus as well. Not BFs with anyone of these guys, but way better friends with Foyil, like I said before, and I find LE's love of Ace over Mauti befuddling. I got passed Mauri leaving the state when he left, but can't stand when guys like LE hate so bad on him. that's all.

Haha...I know and I respect your side of the discussion. My only point toward you is that he was getting calls/texts/whatever during his playing season. It didn't just start after he finished his junior year. Not as much of a complete unknown as you think he was. Just saying. LE can hate on his friends but like I said, I'm not his friend. I'm friends with his boy Foyil. I don't like when people come on here making him out to be the best player in LA in years either, but he was really freaking good. Can wait til he gets OSU.

George Napier and Joe Sabin were better prospects than Foyil and Mauti, IMO.

I've known that family forever. The kid has always been awkward as hell. I have never been impressed. I watched that game and he had a good number of penalties. Put it this way...last year i watched Mandeville play Northshore and Chris Faulk was a billion light years better than Matt. The best thing he does is kick. He can kick the crap out of the ball (but he toes everything)Tigerbru17 can tell u a lot about him if you really want more. Just very awkward and he's not big at all.

I've said before that I think Mauti is another Malveto recruiting mistake. Those guys simply swung and missed way too many times for my liking.
