He’s under contract. He has to continue doing his job or else when he is fired he gets no buyout.

Kelly’s publicly stated goal is to compete and win a national championship @ LSU. He further said by year 3 that we’d be closer to that goal.
Matt House’s defense is what is currently preventing us from achieving that goal. Kelly said he would assess all aspects of the program after the regular season (now). If no changes to his defensive staff, which produced unacceptable results is not addressed, Kelly undermines himself, this program and his own personal goals that he’s publicly acknowledged.
Take Omar Speights. That kid was all Pac 12 until Matt House got a hold of him. House doesn’t belong in the college game. I expect Kelly will make some changes to his defensive coaching staff between now & spring.
