LSU’s Potential 23’ Finish

I just wanted to gather this on one thread, see what we can conjure up within it. This certainly isn’t Crown’s regular thread by any means but I want to get a good breakdown of what targets LSU is likely to grab.
2023 Class: Javien Toviano, Desmond Ricks, Isaac Smith, Ka’Morreun Pimpton, Nyckoles Harbor
It seems LSU is in a great place to land all of these gentlemen, all with the exception of Pimpton and Harbor have received crystal balls for their commitment. In the case of Ricks, the most recent L thrown up in the visit video at Alabama is interesting.
Portal Transfers: Denver Harris, Josaiah Stewart, Aaron Anderson
There seems to be a lot of smoke with these three toward heading to Baton Rouge. Harris always had LSU in mind and with the stability and discipline of a Kelly, it can help the knucklehead become a man and day 1 NFL prospect. Stewart has LSU in his top three and LSU imagery in his post that included his top three. Anderson reportedly wants to head home, but we shall see how it plays out.
If there are any other recruits, flips, or transfers inbound that I missed, can certainly add. Figure this is a good compilation for all things incoming student athletes for this coming season.

Stewart is not coming to LSU.

What makes you say that?

Very curious as to why you say that also, any insight?

Right Zavion Thomas, has he received an offer from LSU yet? Figure if Anderson is available and a possible LSU lean, would they extend that offer as well? Don’t want to crowd the receivers room with Sampson, Brown, Parker, and Prean coming in. Should LSU land Anderson, that may be the deepest and best receiving room in the country.

Wanna say good thread. Wanted to start a thread like this, but never got around to do so. The only thing I would disagree with right now is Harbor. I don't think he's visited LSU, nor does he have one scheduled (if I'm wrong, let me know because it's extremely possible). I would feel more confident if he did. I think he's planning to wait until February though so that is a good thing.

Im concerned about our Linebacker room. Perkins and Penn are the only returning guys that are reliable.
Only two linebacker commits that will need a year or two to develop and there isnt any talk about us targeting in a guys from the portal.

If E Cooper is truly in the portal, I would suspect that he would be a target. He’s an easy take

Demario Tolan will be a stud.

Tolan and West Weeks are serviceable guys who can give us quality minutes. Would like to see us get 1 more experienced guy through the portal

Yeah I concur on that point. Harbor is a mystery, apparently he has family on the LSU Track and Field staff that’s vying for him to come and he does apparently have interest, but as you said, no OV as of yet and the smoke regarding South Carolina and Michigan, make it tough. The fact that LSU has until February, as you mentioned, could certainly help. I’ve read that his cancelled visit was due to the scheduling of his high school games as well. So he’s a bit of a mystery with known interest, but how much compared to Michigan and SC, where he has visited, we don’t yet know.
Georgia has apparently entered the mix and he has noted the usage of Bowers and Washington, as he seems to indicate of wanting to be a tight end on the college level. I believe I read LSU is trying to persuade him to play on the defensive side of things but that’s simply my recollection. So we shall see with Harbor, would be a helluva finish if he’s included.

Cooper would be a good get for the Tigers. I also wonder about the high end four star linebacker from Ohio State, out of D’Ville, Omari Abor, who was basically trying to sway a recruit to LSU, maybe a month ago. As we know, LSU is garnering a major pipeline with that school, and the biggest fish of them all, Simmons is all LSU, currently. That could be one to watch, especially with the rumored turmoil in Columbus.

I'm worried also. And penn is not reliable.

Yeah need 1 or 2 more LB for depth.

Tolan could be a future stud and was a true fresh. Wouldn’t put him in the serviceable category

His visit was originally scheduled for the weekend of the Tennessee game, but the 11 AM kickoff made it impossible for him to get to Baton Rouge before the game.
His visit was rescheduled for the weekend of the SEC championship game, so obviously that weekend didn't with either.
