The Stewart case even has a rule to help replace him and the scholarship. I don't know the rule entirely or the exact parameters of it but there is a waiver available to kids that voluntarily leave. It's one of the rules that has been explained in the Bama recruiting thread by them trying to figure how their numbers are working. I'll try to find it.

Well, whatever the rule is, it didn't apply to Stewart's situation. Maybe it was because he enrolled for a couple of day? Whatever the reason, last December when our numbers were extremely tight, Orgeron talked about how our appeal of getting that counter back was denied

That's not great to hear considering the full court press we're putting on him starting today. I sure hope Moore and Yong make it into town for their visits.

This is my interpretation. I'm not a sailor though.

I would dare say that most of the comments are probably.....he's gone versus not wanting him. Anyone with an ounce of sense wants him, it's just that we've seen this game played with Saban a lot over the years.

I personally like that the kid has been quiet to a large extent and kept his head down. Now, being affiliated with the "barber" though is just bad business.

I sure hope he signs with LSU.

We have no clue which scholarships are being wasted. We won't know until they prove it on the field. Every year we sign guys who never see the field. How was Greedy rated as a recruit?

Again, I was referring to us losing/wasting a scholarship...as in, we don't get a player with it.

We're not talking about the same things. I said one thing, and you're talking about something else.

Greedy was a low-to-mid 4-star, I believe...no idea where you're going with that, anyway.

I agree with you! I'm tired of hearing about this guy that I think is very overrated! I want a DL that has a high motor and wants to dominate every play! I don't see that in Ish or whatever they are calling him now!

Well, by all means. If you are tired of hearing about him he should definitely go to Alabama. I wish all of the LSU coaches who spent the day in Amite knew you were tired before they did that. It must really being exhausting hearing about this recruit all the time. Maybe you can take a vacation soon to try to recover.

that I think is very overrated

I'm sure you are right. That is why the ONLY TWO CHOICES he has to attend school is at Bama and LSU. The only two schools to offer are second rate C-USA schools. He has to be overrated. I'm surprised Nick Saban went to his house to visit with him and his family. Nick must not know how you feel.

From 24/7:
"Alabama assistant Pete Golding was in-home with Sopsher on Monday, and head coach Nick Saban used his one in-home visit last week ahead of the Sopsher family's visit to Tuscaloosa last weekend."

How many of his games did you see this year?

24/7:
"Sopsher compares best to New York Giants big man John Jenkins. He projects as a second- or third-round pick, according to his 247Sports scouting report.

“Densely built defender with a powerful lower-half and a thick upper-half who brings mass without a lot of bad weight,” the report said. “Has natural strength and punch and uses his hands effectively when he wants to. Can flash suddenness and get-off for a bigger defender and has demonstrated instances of good lateral quickness. Two-gap ability. Overpowering on the high school level. A high school defensive end that has been extremely productive and has an above average motor.""

I don't see that in Ish or whatever they are calling him now

Yeah, whatever Saban/Bama and Eaux/LSU are calling him now?

If they only knew football and football players and how to scout them like you. Bama and LSU are known to be horrible at this recruiting thing and could really use someone with your expertise to guide them.

I think that scouting report from 247 is from last spring, however i so some of his sr film and it didnt show what a lot of people have said it here. It wasnt bad at all. At times very good. I know the caveat is that whoever put the film together isnt gonna put plays on there with lack of effort. Im just saying the talent isnevident from what i saw.
