I just checked on the Webcam at Collins Park.... it's 5-0 OSU now going to top 7th. Looks like we're home team.

I am actually not worried at all about pitching, I know what we can do there. Its the bats that I express concern over. With the exception of Briggs, Pleasants and Andrews, it was not very consistent last year.

Idk how the infield defense is either. Doyle was so steady at 3B. Filling that void may not be as easy as it seems.

I'm not one to truly panic over fall games (its mostly used to work on stuff) but I think its reasonable to be concerned about the bats and manufacturing runs. It has been our biggest issue the last 3-4 years.

Looking like Wickersham has pitched the last few innings, not sure who started. Looks like the game was 0-0 going in to the 5th.

I agree with you 357, the offense is going to be less productive than last years which wasn’t very good at all against any decent pitchers. Losing Doyle at 3b is going to be a huge loss defensively, not to mention Andrews in CF.

Thinking this is going to be a very very tough year.

If there is any consolation, Bama lost 3-2 to Lipscomb earlier today and they are a great (Bama) team.

I'll reserve judgement a bit until we get to spring and actually put the best players in lineups. Right now they should be experimenting to find the right combos.

Sorry, I fell asleep before I saw your question. I would have been happy to post the link which I should have done to start with.

I'm thinking if we have more of the same(quality pitching and no hitting) this season I feel we have to go in a new direction coaching wise. I like Torina but enough is enough. We need a coach that can get us over the hump.

LSU is not firing Torina. They’ve made the Supers year after year. However if our offense is a problem once again, Dobson’s seat is on fire. Its been a while since we could rely on our offense to produce. Im not paying much attention to a run rule loss in October. Who cares about what happens in October, the season doesn’t start for another 4 months.

Briggs and Pleasants are excellent at the top, but this offense needs to find some length. I think Clark bounces back and has a solid year. Sunseri… needs to find it. She’s been a lock in the middle of our order for some time, but really hasn’t produced much since her sophomore year.

We need our top recruits to produce. Brown and Pilon have to show something this year. Brandon and Redoutey have to produce. Our lineup is literally Briggs, Pleasants, and question marks. Players have to step up, and Dobson has to be better.

I'm checking around. Neither UH nor LSU posted on Twitter & Facebook feeds. I do know that Houston lost one game of a DH to San Jacinto Junior College this fall. That wasn't posted either, but one of my seniors is a San Jac commit and she told me.

I'll post when I find out.

Alea getting a lot of recognition (top rankings). Crazy we got her out of the state of Alabama. Excited to see her here.
