Lexie will be doing vault and bars day one

Day two will be a meet time decision for that other floor spot. Priessman will be doing her 1 1/2

If they do what they are suppose to do, they should definitely be advancing.

Nothing is a given though, they have to hit to advance. Same as UCLA. It only takes a fall or two from a team to knock them out.

Starting well on beam is imperative Friday. I would like to see LSU at a 49.350-49.400 at least to start the meet.

There is no reason not to use Lexie on floor if we make finals. She has nothing to lose. Desiderio is going to get nailed on her low chest, would be lucky to break 9.85 IMO. Campbell or Edwards would be a better gamble along with Priessman, especially with the watered down (but still out of a 10) set she competed at SECs.

I will be an absolute wreck Friday during that first rotation. I may not even watch beam and just see how it turns out. If we get through beam with 49.3 or so I will feel much much better.

I’m so happy for Sarah!!! She was so deserving but I didn’t want to expect anything! Has any other LSU gymnast ever won this award?

One aspect here is the rotation order-in semi finals LSU will be on bars (where Lexie is needed the most/at her best) last. I’m not sure what the order will be if they make the finals, but if they do floor after bars then I agree with you. If they go to bars after floor and vault that’s a tougher call for the coaches IMO. Either way can’t wait for tomorrow!

If LSU finishes second tomorrow they’ll have Olympic order for Saturday. I they finish first they start on beam again.

Dang... I was rooting for your gals... Great effort and a great meet, OU just didn't give ground...

As a Ute fan I know how tough it can be seemingly keep finishing 2nd to a dynasty (Utah finished 3rd, 2nd, 2nd, 2nd and 3rd when UGA was winning 5 straight in the late 2000's). But LSU and DD certainly deserve to get that 1st place trophy one day.

Let me also say that as a fan NCAA Gym (not just a fan of my own Alma Mater) it has been a pleasure to watch this group of LSU Seniors...

Best of luck next year.

That’s so sweet of you. I could tell during the trophy presentation that the gymnasts were a little disappointed. But they had a great season and I’m so proud of each of them! #foreverLSU

Alyona Shchennikova was spotted next to Kiya Johnson, Annie Beard, Emma Kelley and Aleah Finnegan in the LSU section wearing gold...

I was under the impression that Alyona was Michigan bound. Is that no longer the case?

She was committed to them but apparently has reopened her options. Her sister is not a Michigan gymnast anymore but a student coach. No official decommitment yet.

This has some legs. Would be great if it happened.
