How does our class look to others?

I don't know much about the guys except for Austin.. do we have a good haul? I know it's a hard position to judge.. just curious what you guys thought.

Deculus is the best OT prospect we have signed in a really long time. I would say he's probably an even better OT prospect than La'el was.

Sadiqq Charles is a beast OG prospect with a lot of raw athletic ability. Ingram from Texas is a national level recruit at OG. Seth Stewart idk much about but he seems like a project for sure

Overall it's a really solid class to back up what was a solid class last year. Deculus is the LT we've been needing though. He could push to start next year

Deculus is a nasty run blocker. Idk how good he is a pass blocker. He showed improvement on a camp to camp basis this past summer.

Someone recently said that AD was up to 350 lbs...not sure if it's true, but he doesn't look like he's out of shape at all...could be special...

As a pure OT I think he could be as good if not better. Now that doesn't mean I think he's as good of an OT prospect as La'el was as an OG prospect, if that makes any sense.

Stewart reminds me of that kid from Alabama who played right guard/tackle for LSU several years ago but had to quit due to concussions. He was raw but a road grader and a big mofo.

AD was also pushing to get that 5th star but not sure kf he was successful. If you watch him at the camps I think he is an amazing pass blocker. He has a solid base and is awesome with his footwork. He is good against the bullrush but not sure how well he will do against a speedrusher with good hands and spin moves.

Dude is a physical freak. If he has the quickness and athleticism needed at LT, then he could start day 1. Will be interesting to see how this all shakes out. Lot of young talent.

Are their any more OL on our radar still like Ealy, or are we pretty much set on the OL with this class?

Seems like with Chidi transferring, they might look to pick up someone big if they can flip somebody. Aside from that, OL class seems solid, and I wouldn't figure they'd take on another project O-Lineman in this class.

I think Deculus has the potential to be an Andrew Whitworth, Rodney Reed type of LT anchor for 3 or 4 years.

Super high on the kid - here are the basics:

1. I look at the kid and think his arms aren't long enough to be a natural tackle - BUT - he is 6'6" 331 and looks like he can hold another 20 - so his frame seems that of a man larger than even 6'6" - so, this may not be an issue, but it brings me to item 2,

2. The kid is incredibly effective despite being a little raw. He needs to learn leverage, better hand placement usage and while his footwork is pretty good, it can use some work.

3. He plays with a mean streak, which back in the day meant Miles would move him to guard. I think this kid is tall, broad, strong and quickfooted enough to stay at tackle and make a Redeculus ( ) amount of money in the NFL.

Very difficult for a true freshman to start at left tackle, though not impossible.

But I am very excited about Deculus and agree he is the best tackle prospect LSU has signed in some time.

This is a solid group of OL, with Ingram, Charles and Stewart also.

It would not hurt to add Adrian Ealy to this group.
