LSU's made the cut for 4-star edge rusher Phillip Webb, who remains one of Dave Aranda's top targets this cycle.

On Monday morning, four-star linebacker Phillip Webb cut his list down to LSU, Alabama, Auburn, Oklahoma and Florida. There have only been three Crystal Ball predictions made on 247Sports, with two going in for Clemson this offseason and the final going in for Auburn in June. There have been no predictions made since his senior season began.

Orgeron has said since the beginning his goal is to get guys in here that can get after the passer.

He's keeping his word there.

Also, Webb is apparently Aranda's unicorn. So you know they're putting in the time.

Have to, considering we can’t generate a consistent rush with 4 right now

Yes, I think that edge rusher and OT are the most important positions for us this cycle.

Bryant's film doesn't impress me much seems slow for an edge rusher. If he becomes a hand in the dirt 5 tech hes got a lot of strength and even quickness to gain

It's good we're in his top 5. But, the general impression was that he's going to pop sooner than later - especially with Donnell Harris now trending toward A&M. This is in contradiction to that.

Still hope to get at least one of the two - Webb preferred of course!

Webb will be back in Tuscaloosa this weekend and a decision is likely within the next month. He is expected to sign in December with Alabama and LSU both being finalists. It is clear that out of these two powers, LSU has more momentum in this race. Could this weekend change that? Time will tell, but LSU may be the favorite to land Webb. He took his official visit to Baton Rouge over the summer, he returned for the Florida game and he has really bonded with that staff. Alabama has some ground to make up. - Simmons

Problem is we don't stunt and twist enough to free up DL and linebackers.

Knew about Bryant but Clowney would suprise me. Dont think he will get big enough. Regardless this class is gonna be overloaded with edge rushers or DEs. Not that its a bad thing.

Yeah, Saban really wants him too, I think he is really close to the top of their list. I think this upcoming game will decide it with a lot of these remaining elite guys.
