Not saying its untrue because I don't know but if Hootie has signed papers then it would be a lot more public. BOL wouldve mentioned it by now and LSU sources would have known about it. Also think if LSU really wanted to know they could find out. There would be a paper trail because the NCAA has to approve it before all access communication can be had. It would be very public by now. Who knows. Dont care really. The kid's going to Bama papers or not. Les is just doing his part with the visit. If he didn't we'd villify him.

I hate to burst y'all's bubble on Thanksgiving but better now than Christmas.
Memphis is not:

He's not. But he's a poster with seemingly knowledgable info on recruiting
That being said, this whole hootie thing has gotten really weird and absolutely been oscillating heavily and often with degrees of optimism and disdain
Truthfully ... I don't know what to believe but I trust Memphis .. Just don't want to now

Or an insider
People really think an 18 year old kid 1 year removed from high school has more connections and sources than experts who have have been in the business for 20+ years who have established high school and college coaching connections?

People have been saying he's gone for months now, no one wanted to believe it.. :-/

Best to concede and move on. Jamal Adams is a good place to start.

You don't think in any way he knows their will be back lash about kids going to Bama?
I'm pretty sure he knows there won't be any sort of back lash outside of whiny fans who will always find something to bitch about...

I'm still waiting for horndog or JJ to explain the north/south Louisiana recruiting conspiracy.

I questioned this very thing a couple of weeks ago and was quickly gunned down by the Memphis disciples

I remember that
It's sad to see two nla players leave the state but if they can't see that LSU has a better situation/quicker opportunity to get on the field, then there's no reason for us to freak out. It's their mistake. We may miss out on a chad jones like safety but we could be getting a Craig steltz type of safety in Jamal. Have faith in the staff and enjoy your turkey day!

question: if Laurence Jones had decided to commit to Bama on monday why would he accept an in-home visit from the LSU staff on sunday, the day before he announces his commitment?
It doesn't make sense for the coaching staff to travel all the way to Monroe only to be told that Jones decided to commit to Bama.
i could be wrong, but my gut feeling is that Laurence decides to stay home.
I remember Duke Riley's in-home visit, he was leaning toward a commitment to TCU, when LSU finally extended a committable offer. They visited him at home and afterwards he committed to the Tigers...I think history repeats itself...

This info was leaked by a pro LSU source with connections to the staff. Pretty sure they just want the fans to know that they were fighting until the end.
I do hope that your suspicions are right though.

Until someone with legit, provable connections/sources says he's coming or gone, there's no reason to take opinion as fact. It's one thing to say how you feel, but to say definitively one way or the other unless you have said connections/sources is ridiculous. (not directed at anyone in particular)
i agree with jrevonte's opinion though...

As is usual, jrevonte has a valid point. At the very least the staff believes they have a shot. I commend them for staying in the fight, if they had the defeatist attitude of many of those here LSU would be in dire straits.

Jrevonte, and before you used to say Hootie was going to Bama right? Now lsu
