re: LSU has an in home visit w/Hootie Jones Sunday night

It's been said before but I'll say it again: I hope this kid goes to LSU, I think he'd really succeed (like so many other DBs have succeeded) in Baton Rouge. That said, I think he'll make his decision for the right reasons (he isn't chasing a girl) and I wish him the best wherever he ends up.

Be nice to Memphis shite happens and people tell others what they want to hear. It sucks and Memphis should stay. But like I said a long time ago he was gone. Time to move on and hope the other guy will do nicely, because our 2nd choices for players haven't done the best job imo

That is the essence of CFB recruiting. Identify the decision maker, recruit that person... the athlete usually follows.

However, I think I put this in one of the whacked posts: We may be seeing some kind of generational change with recruits today where that is less successful. (LC's Mom wasn't on board, IF Hootie goes Gump then he's against Mom)

And about Memphis, or anyone else with a prediction, IF that persona has means of getting information, and IF the kid chooses the method of disinformation (aka tell them what they want to hear) as a way of "playing it close to the vest" (or is truly undecided) then there is no way to make an accurate prediction. It's not the predictor's fault. And in the case of misinformation, they are being led so what they are saying is not in a vacuum and they are giving the best available.

- announcement date was moved by Mom to be after 1 day of contact period
- Moms was not treated badly
- Moms may be upset by decision info given to CLM by Hootie, not by anything CLM/Staff did.
- I'm pretty sure CLM didn't invite her over for breakfast and then tell her that he don't give any fricks about her sons character, development, or grades. As long as he brings the wood. Probably the opposite.

And that Mom was upset was never verified. There were conflicting stories. One thing for certain, she's allowing CLM in her home. That in my mind is the verification that the visit wasn't as bad as some were saying, I'm thinking this is a "misconstrue" based on my 3rd line up there.


Don't forget Quille is re-re-announcing!!! With Juice leaving and probably OBJ too this is a need and want too! He WANTS to represent LA and LSU.

And remember, it was said that CR's mom told the coaches to stop contacting them days before CR made his decision.
