Saban could get the Bear’s great grandson to greyshirt if needed.

Yeah so would I but the downvotes tell me that people are pissed that I think we’ll land a 5 star Defensive tackle and his 3 star brother.

If we land Ika and Ishmael Sospher, after all the bitching about the lack of Dline talent in this class, anyone complaining about taking Sospher's brother along with is just being miserable.

My god, if they could close the final 6 spots with

1. Ishmael Sospher
2. Rodney Sospher
3. Siaki Ika
4. Devonta Lee
5. Raydarius Jones (Jay Ward backup)
6. Nakobe Dean (This wiould be amazing) or George Pickens

Then this would be an incredible class. Like all-time incredible

And yet I only consider one of those guys to be highly likely. The rest we have to hold our breath about. Our best case scenarios rarely actually happen. Not bitching, just saying.

I think Vol knows the best of how this class ends up.. I think a lot depends on the early signing period.

Hate to be negative but let’s assume we miss on Ish, Dean, and Pickens. We land Ika, Jones, Ward, and Lee. Leaves 2 spots left. Who do we push for then? Haven’t really heard any other names thrown around.

If we finish with 23 I think they look at the transfer market, especially grad transfers and see if there are any options. O has said that he won’t sign people just to sign them.

If they don’t find anyone they like I think they’ll backcount the 2 into next years class. It’ll be nice to have numbers. In your situation this would be a concerningly weak Dline haul considering our last 2 classes so they could use those numbers and hopefully close with at least 3 of the following:

Jacobian Guillory
Jaquellin Roy
Branard Wright
Mckinnley Jackson
Cam’Ron Jackson

Although, I remember saying the same thing last year with Pickering, Moore, Sospher, Young, Sospher, Jaren Handy and Ika. Which is why I think if we strike out on every single one of them then Orgeron needs to bring in a dominant recruiter at Dline coach and move Meatball back to OLB coach.

We’ll see if O values relationships or results.

Rodney will be a Bama walk-on who mysteriously has no problem paying his tuition.

Saw this update on Ika from a Bama mod on 247 that you guys might find interesting...

Quick note on 4-star DL Siaki "Apu" Ika. He tells us Alabama has still yet to come out to see him during the Contact Period. He wants to visit Alabama this weekend for his last official visit before signing early, however, he's not sure if he's going to at this point. LSU and Oregon are making bigger pushes. I'm changing my Crystal Ball to "foggy" at this point in time for Ika.

Hampton is probably still one to watch especially if he doesn't sign in the early period.
Plus, you could lose him to baseball draft depending on how high he goes.
