Factoring in 247, rivals, and ON3, here are the composite ratings of each transfer.

S Jardin Gilbert - 89.73 3 star
WR Zavion Thomas - 89.21 3 star
QB AJ Swann - 89.00 3 star
DB Austin Ausberry - 86.98 3 star

ON3 will update their rankings at the end of the cycle, so they'll presumably bump Gilbert and Thomas to 4 stars.

Transfer rankings make zero sense for kids who haven’t played.

How can you tell Austin is now a 3 star? He never even saw the field to make a full evaluation.

Why would Jardin be a 3 star starting over 4 stars?

I agree, sometimes they can be very strange.

He was already a 3 star coming out HS. ESPN and Rivals had him a low 4, but let’s be honest they’re trash at recruiting.

I can’t imagine him being bumped up when he has 1 assisted tackle in two years. I’d say 3 star is very generous for him. Let’s just ride with that.

1 - 5*
16 - 4*
11 - 3*

It’s been a while since I graduated, but my math has more players higher than 3 stars.

And I guess that makes LSU king of the 5 star mafia in ‘25.

It was funnier in your head.

On a team as bad as Auburn that in itself does say a lot

It was a joke. Relax.
Clearly, it's not accurate; rather, it was a subtle prod aimed at those individuals who make such statements.

Endorphins, king of the 1* posters. If indeed your post was a joke as you claim, you are the Henny Youngman of this board...a comic known for using stale material from other comedians and not very good at it to begin with. You can scratch "try being a standup comic" off your goals list.

Uuuuhhhh nnnnnoooo we do NOT really need any more DB's. The secondary has enough talent BUT it would be nice to actually have a pass rusher along the LOS. LSU certainly had no one this past season. I do agree that at the DT position, Maason Smith IF he stays needs to get back to TR FR from and not the ghost of a player he was this past season. And if he tries to go the NFL, LSU needs to find a competent DT to replace him. But the CB and S positions look to be good to me.
