Of Bama deceiving players to keep them from jumping ship know the offensive staff was getting gutted. What a piece of shite move.

Yep. Deceiving their own players to try and prevent more of them from leaving. Nice start to their Alabama careers.

The ones that were gonna leave, left. The others didn't stay because of Grubb. And that little blurb reads like a gossip mag. How many fans say after coaching searches, "he was the guy all along. We never offered the job to anyone else"? Hell Bama just did it with denials of interest in coaches besides Deboer. Lanning most notably. Being told no is far different in context that not offering. Both can be true in the same instance, as with Lanning.

While it’s a bad look, it’s meaningless in practice. When Saban left, school had already started. When Deboer was hired, some schools had not yet started, but very few.
Even if Grubb had left two weeks ago, no players would’ve been able to leave.
Sure, they could’ve entered the portal and left after spring, but they can still leave after spring and they can announce their intention to enter the portal now.

BK and other coaches are gonna negative recruit the hell out of this situation they be stupid not to . Hell I won’t put it pass Ryan Willam’s to end up at auburn eventually
