The DL has a clear advantage in these drills but Lucas and Bordelon don’t look like guys that will ever be starters at the SEC level. Lucas didn’t have the best highlight tape to begin with and his technique at camp looked rough. Bends at his waist, drops his head and didn’t look very athletic at all. Need guards with good feet and he didn’t seem to have it. Bordelon didn’t look as bad but clearly a step or two down from the Armella, Banks, Dewberry, Campbell type OTs LSU should be getting. The only way Bordelon should make it in this class is as a grey shirt (how Bama gets to sign 25+ kids per year). We all know he’s got the family money to swing it and he can still be a Tiger.
Campbell looks like the real freaking deal. Yeah, he lost some reps but every one of them was competitive and vs Wiggins too. Kid has a mean streak too haha he shoved Ali Gaye after a rep when they started chirping at him. Need that nastiness from OL

I’d say Will Campbell is the only guaranteed o Lineman to be taken at this point with the o line coaching change.

FWIW…..there were some UNBELIEVABLE athletes out there yesterday.
My little boy is just getting into it- so I had no idea what we were going to…other than an OL/DL camp.
But Coach O was out there coaching every group up all day- very well done, and everyone hyped up.
I can tell y’all this- with all that’s going on in the world- it was amazing to be with like minded people of all colors- no one gave a shite who was who or where they were from- just a few hundred fat arse or bad arse (depending on age mostly) kids trying to prove that they got something to show.
And man oh man- they got some dudes there that have some wheels- Coach O set up a race for all the campers- jeeezum- I watched the world’s fastest kids kick into another world when they thought someone was gaining on them. I can’t imagine what it must be like to watch the skill position camps.

Remember guys this is just the FIRST of these big time recruits visits long way to go, I wish they’d take their time and be 100% committed than to be so excited by what they see, and de commit later

shite- I have no clue- I was just happy that my little boy wasn’t the slowest by quite a bit- and he’s probably one of the youngest ones out there.
I see now how y’all all get worked up about this sports stuff- this is our first foray into it.
I’ll have to learn who’s who.
There was a skinny arse kid in a red shirt with a mullet. That kid could truck- and he was young- and beat his way out of traffic doing it.
And a black dude in the last group that looked like he was running over lava and it didn’t phase him one bit- dude caught a gear about mid way down the field- it was nuts. Dude was close to Devin White build too.
Crazy atmosphere- great day!

Coach Meyer that they got from White Castle is going to take it to a whole new level. The guy even gets the parents pumped up- tremendous man from what I’ve seen so far.
3 camps- this week, a showcase next week, and finishing up at Nicholls week after.
The middle school talent is pretty good coming from Lockport, Raceland, and Bayou Blue in the last few years. It’s cool to have watched all these kids come up from the 6th, 7th, 8th grade and know they are getting coached by a guy who absolutely has his stuff together.
Very exciting for all the parents and kids!
