It's funny, with LSU and Bama losing almost the same amount to the draft, that Bama is ranked preseason number 2, but LSU will take a step back

And Bama losing their last two games, usually how a team finishes effects preseason rankings too....oh well.

We could have a big year, but I am thinking 2015 is the year

No one said we would win it. That would be a step forward, not back. This team will go 10-3 or 11-2. A step back would be 9-4 or 8-5.

It will boil down to QB play. It always does! Solid o line , lots of playmakers. Defense will be better.

I really liked the original post. I wish we were talking about Trey and Leonard.

Hijacked!

trey will have a great career. lf will have a great career. we have taken a step back . we wont be a threat to win it all this year. thats the standard.

So we do worse than 9-3?

Only thing more confusing than your statement is the post before yours...

Auburn isn't losing much, they will be very good but I agree, we should be more competitive than most are projecting.

Auburn will kick our arse next year on the plains. God help us if it's prime time.

auburn lost mason and robinson. they were their best 2 players. I think we win the west next year. chavis did all the manuvering he needed with the freshman last year. lm knows how to win games with avg. qb. remember, last year we lost 2 games when we ledtied with 2 minutes to go in games. THAT IS WHAT NEEDS TO BE FIXED. for the record auburn won ALL those close games. their luck will run out this year. we will win the west.

One of the recruiting analysts said that LF is in prime position to be the top back in the nation for the next 3 or 4 years.

Said Quinn is much faster than people know and can contribute faster than people think.

Also said we would take a step back next year.... Frick that

There will be some growing pains on offense just like two years ago. You do not lose two 1000 yard WR and a 1000 RB and just pick right back up where you left off, especially with a new QB. We will be better on defense, so hopefully that can keep us going until we mature on offense!

Trey Quinn will always be fighting "perception", I just hope the opposing defenses fall for this too!

we can take a step back offensively and that won't cause us to lose a game. the only really close game we won this year was arky and that game was a fluke. besides, with 4 returning ol and a new ol coach we should be much better on the ol. that will make a difference.

I'm really not concerned with the offense ....

clm has proved by running the ball and not turning it over is a winning formula....

The ? Is can the defense hold opponents around 14 points per game.....

I see the defense continuing to improve , so there's no reason we shouldn't win 10 games......

Agreed. As long as our QB is "serviceable" our schedule works out a lot better than in years past.

The way I see it, A&M had possibly the best CFB player ever, the best WR in the nation, the best OT in the nation, plus RSJ and Malena among others...

Yet they finished 4th in the West.

We had a down year and finished 3rd. A&M = no threat
