Where do Ryan and Hogg figure into the mix ? If they both make it to campus, are either good enough to lock down a starting spot ?

Not day 1. Both are toolsy but neither will be ready to hit SEC pitching IMO. I look at year 2 for Hogg to make the leap

Still have Reaves coming in as well. He’s 100% factoring into the starting situation at third

You could’ve said that about Milam last year or Jake Brown. One was suppose to be a pitcher and the other was HORRIBLE in the fall. shite happens. These kids are ranked on potential. Milam was small but his numbers were ridiculous.

Point being you never know. KLING was suppose to be as sure as Crews. Neal was more highly regarded than Bear Jones. Herring was in the late 100’s. Cam Johnson did not look like the 10th best high school player in the country this year either

Grab Dickinson and Harrison and call it a day from the offensive side.

Still need to add a LHP or 2

True. You never know who will live up to expectations. Never would’ve guessed based on their rankings that Laviolette would be what he is and Kling what he is.

Exactly you can’t really rank mental abilities and or emotional maturity. Can you lower your heart rate in big games and clutch situations. This isn’t 1A in Pennsylvania anymore. Your playing the big boys who play all year round from down south from Texas, Florida, California, Georgia, NC, Louisiana, etc

Here is Hogg in pregame on a synthetic field.

Twitchy hitter who I think at one point batted switch. But all his videos recently are RH it looks like

Ryan is a little more fundamentally sound on defense and better chance to stick at SS, imo. I think he has an Austin Nola profile overall. With maybe little bit better hit tool

What’s your opinion on where Hogg ends up, Lester?

Hard to tell just watching clips. I’ve seen Ryan numerous times so it’s easier to speak on him.

Hogg physically can prob play anywhere on the diamond. But as we saw this year with Braswell, playing SS is about being steady & consistent & it’s just hard to tell watching a clip. His actions are athletic but can definitely use some refinement.

Ryan is really fast, too. To me, that stood out most. He's obviously a good ball player, can hit and glove it, but his speed really stood out.

BM '25 kid Ryan Darrah hit .857 (18-for-21) with a 1.857 SLG in summer ball. 5 doubles, 2 triples, four HRs & 16 RBI. He's committed to Arizona St.

I'd try to get him to BR. He can play infield, outfield, hits it, and can run.

Crescent City Sports summer league. BM beat Rummel then PJP for the ship. I believe Ponchatoula and Shaw also played. Not sure who else.

I can’t speak on it as far as seeing Hogg with my own eyes besides little clips here and there but I know in the Doyle video posted earlier in this thread maybe page 149ish he said he thinks Hogg will be a 3rd baseman and can surprise people and play next season.
