I think this makes sense. This kid wants a guaranteed weekend spot and we can’t guarantee that to anyone out of the portal right now.

He apparently committed last September as a grad transfer and Grahovac was ranked as an outfielder as a recruit so 3B was wide-open at the time. Though I'm not sure why he continued to stay committed after Grahovac emerged. Maybe to be the DH? But now Hayden Schott is returning next year as well.
