I wish we could have landed Ahuna or Keaschall. Not having 1 out of Pineda, Young, Ahuna, or Keaschall on the roster right now is really the only miss of the offseason.

Freshman class is A+, pitching transfers are A+, batting transfers are A+.

You hope Thompson improves, you hope Guidry is instant impact, you hope Nippolt can be a legit SEC starter, you hope Tommy White can play third base effectively, you hope Dugas can transition to the infield and be dependable... but those are all hopes. I think there is a pretty good chance that 3 of those 5 come true (that's what we need to happen) but it would have been nice to get a plug-and-play shortstop to build around.

I'm going through the roster right now to see what guys from last year's roster that there were questions about haven't been updated for the new roster. If you change the years in the site, you can see whose profiles were changed. Beloso and Hellmers were updated, so they're at least scheduled to be with the team this fall.

Simon wasn't updated. The D1Baseball transfer tracker made it seem like Fowler would be back, but he wasn't updated either.

Grant Fontenot and Javen Coleman are listed as redshirts, Lansville is listed as a sophomore, indicating he didn't get a redshirt last year.

I tried the site naming convention with the names of the incoming guys, but those pages don't seem to have been published yet.

They'll update the roster completely Monday night without pictures if they're going according to what has been done in years past.

Yeah, that's what made me start checking the individual profiles. They aren't going to wait until Monday to build all the pages. They've already updated the individual profiles. They probably already built the profile pages for the incoming guys but just haven't flipped the switch to make them available.

With all of the arms we have and the lack of infield depth, maybe Hellmers is going to give it one more go on the hot corner. Kinda kidding, kinda not kidding.

Lansville is a kid I'm pulling for as I hope coach Wes gets him on the right track he has a ton of talent and upside.
I'm really looking forward to CJJ presser on Monday!!!

Just in case you weren't aware, he has no relation to John Dutton.

I couldn't honestly say what their numbers were before, and I like both players.

Smaller numbers are more aesthetically pleasing. It's one of the (many) reasons I hate Vanderbilt and all their guys that wear numbers like it's the first week of Spring Training games and the we just entered the 4th inning of a game.

Agreed. I don't mind a big number on a big pitcher, though, especially a big closer.

I did convince my wife during baseball season that Sammy Dutton was Casey’s bastard son from the bayou. She always got him confused with Collins though lol

Lurking a little but I’m not back. Expect a at least a couple of key losses with possibly more.

Would think at least one is announced Monday. One or two may never be announced
