I believe they're in on Alario as well. I'd have to look for the others. I would guess they're going to be in on any kid they want to be in on from Dunham since Wes Theriot is there.

Myles LeDoux at #3, that's awesome!
I played basketball with his dad in high school. Myles, along with Landon Victorian and a lot of other Barbe players and families were out at the LSU/ULL exhibition game this past Sunday. He comes from a huge pro-LSU sports family.

I feel like the 25 class and later will continue to get richer in talent in-state. Kids have been getting to the varsity level in 8th and 9th grade, and playing. You didn't see a whole lot of that until the last few years. It happened occasionally, as far back as the late 90s (I'm not old enough to know about it prior), but it was the exception and not the norm. It's becoming way more normal now. Kids are playing up in age group more often, getting alot more baseball specific training, playing almost all year, etc. They're just generally more equipped.
As I've mentioned before, I'm very interested to see how these early risers hold up once everybody grows, gets to their specific high school, etc.

Yeah, if LSU offers him, I couldn't imagine he would go somewhere else.

updated national 2024 top 10 from PG. I think LSU ends up with 4 of the top 10 committed, the 3 plus griffin. Hopefully can get a couple to campus like this past year.
2026- yea hopefully they are able to snag ledoux and JD. JD is prolly most well rounded player in that class in the state imo. now remember this is all based on potential that they bust arse in the weight room on a proper program and work their asses off on skill development. still a long ways to go for this class.
anyone heard anything on Presley Courville...2025 catcher at barbe that is committed to A&M? are we going to turn up the heat or are they going to go after the walker kid from SH or live oak catche if they stay in state?

The Fall World Series rosters were posted, 41 players were listed. Applebey and Fontenot seem to be the two not listed.

Only thing I heard that he grew up in Texas and would be a tough pull from A&M. Big time draft risk no matter where he commits too.

Last night at the CC meeting, Johnson mentioned that Coleman won't pitch next year (which we all expected) and that there were a couple of others that may have injuries that prevent them from playing. Could be those two.

I know Fontenot had a surgery over the summer. Confirming that Coleman won't pitch next year puts us at 42. Applebey seems headed for a medical redshirt, which puts us at 41.

I think the older brother is a freshman at LSUE right now.

Noot and Little have to be considered maybes at this point, too. Hurd seems to be progressing right along, fingers crossed.

Curial, Arrambide, and Victorian...and I guess we like where we're at with Griffin. I thought we were on Rainer, too.

Didn't Little pitch pretty well in the last scrimmage or am I making that up? lol

Hurd was there last night and JJ gave every indication he will be a big part of our pitching plans next year.

He did. Was probably his best statistical outing this fall.

Scuba told me at one of the scrimmages he went early and spoke to Noot and Fontenot, both who were throwing a ball around in the outfield, and they both told him that they would be ready to go for the spring.
Could certainly have just been stretching the truth by both of them, but he said they seemed pretty confident in it.
Fontenot not being on the rosters is interesting though given that Noot (who hasn't pitched all fall) Skenes (who is shut down for the fall per Kendall Rogers), and Coleman (not even playing this year) are all 3 on a roster.
Hurd definitely seems to be progressing. He has gone from 1 to 2 to 3 innings that he has pitched per appearance and seems to be fine.

This is specifically what I found interesting.

Maybe not “grew up”, but spent some time in Texas. Or so I was told. The guy that told me this may not have the most credible information.

Parents are both from Louisiana. Grandfather coached at Sulphur for years. Dad lives in Texas now.
