Guidry and or Romero can still start day 1 at 2B in theory.

Heck if Morgan gets shuffled to outfield there's a case for two openings.

That poster is full of shite.

Point taken.
But it sure looks like Young is inbound.... which pretty much fills all spots but Catcher with a sure fire starter.

Morgan
Young
Pineda
White
Pearson
Crews
Thompson / Dugas

Even if Morgan goes to OF...Pineda, Young, JT, White infield.

Or JT goes to outfield. If not, Dugas.
There really isnt alot of room for a freshman to start immediately next year. Assuming these players are here as expected

You still have an opening at 2B or 3B. Young will play 2B or 3B. The other spot will be up for grabs between Thompson, Romero, and Guidry or an OF that they look at like Dugas or Pearson.

I'd say Young, if he keeps batting .200, isn't a guaranteed starter. If he comes in its a bit of a project by CJJ.

It seems to me he's trying to fix the pitching and defense first, and trusting his own ability to work with hitters.

Not supposed to be mad about anything! I just brought up the idea that the portal action may factor in. Multiple people responded with their take on the same subject but because I still think it will be/ and should be considered by incoming players I am “fricking stupid” and a “whiner.”

Here you are still not understanding what people are saying.

You're stupid because you constantly misconstrued what everyone said so that you could keep arguing against stances no one was taking.

You're a whiner because you remain fixated on the negative stuff without acknowledging anything except your own negative viewpoint.

Some guy on the Arkansas 247 board is saying he was told Arkansas is kicking the tires on Josh Day and it's a wide open race between Ark, LSU, and Ole Miss for him. I question that though because 1) think he gets drafted and signs 2) Ole MIss isn't moving Gonzales and 3) I don't think we go after 2 draft risk SS transfers + Young.

Without knowing what Mississippi State has across their infield, I figured they would target him.

If he's willing to move off SS, I could see Ole Miss making a move.

Arkansas makes sense because they will have a lot of holes to fill. And they've been recruiting transfers over internal guys for years now.

Agree. MS State guy said they are kicking the tires too. I think them and Arkansas make the most sense.

I don't think these guys are all set on their positions when it comes to transferring out. Pineda, Young, and Day may all be willing to play another spot to be in a lineup with each other and Dylan Crews and Tommy Motherfricking Tanks.

What did I miss? I haven’t misconstrued anything. I just said the infield room is getting crowded and that will likely play into decisions about the draft and recruiting.

We don’t have to agree. If I am wrong about that then great! We end up with a badass 2023 team. I don’t think I am wrong about it though.

The goal is to have a badass 2023 team. That's all that matters.

I'm interested to see how we attack it if Pineda/Tebrake sign.

That's why he is continuing to try loading up the wagon. You just don't know how you're going to look after the draft, so you need to keep stacking. Looks crowded now, but may not after. That's what happens when you recruit well. I think that's something that Nolan and Paul missed on - they didn't have a backup plan or a back to the backup plan. You need to leave yourself different ways out.
