I don’t know how someone can see the LSU defense ranked in the 100s in almost every category and see where the defensive recruiting is going and there not be multiple people fired…

This freshmen class is gonna be big. Our young corners are getting valuable reps. I don’t think we’re gonna take that many transfers. But I’m confident a bag is set aside for a high level DB if one becomes available

We all know that LSU is bad at all three levels of defense. A defense can "make up" for 1 bad unit as long as the other 2 are pretty elite. However, when the entire defense is bad, it's just tough for a player to look good and produce solid numbers.
Fans think that LSU would be good for freshmen looking to play right away. However, if you get immediate playing time but are on a horrible defense, it's hard to produce. It's definitely a group that works in harmony.
Listening to BK "SEC This Morning" show, it definitely sounds as if he truly thinks that House is a very good DC and will retain him. All season LSU has been the laughing-stock of CFB with just how bad the defense has performed. No doubt plenty have weighed in on the subject at all levels. Not sure if many recruits want to commit to being developed by House and staff. I don't think anyone outside of BK thinks House's problem is simply lack of talent and bad luck due to injuries. Kids are impressionable and all coaches will negative recruit by saying LSU DC is just bad with poor scheme concepts, etc.
A lot of this fanbase are going to be very disappointed when House is still here next year. It sucks but that's what it sounded like from the BK interview.

I seriously doubt House isn’t fired, but if Kelly plays it that way and House doesn’t improve the defense (against a tougher schedule and with no JD)… oh boy.

Can you blame them??? I know I would be saying the same thing. What exactly is the impact that Perkins provides in coverage? The simple fact that he didn’t at the very least have Perkins shadowing Milroe in the 2nd half of that game speaks volumes. His zone defense and our db’s playing 10 yds off the ball is also horrible

For some local community college but can now suddenly compete against USC, UCLA and the SEC …
