He also is really good with the ball in his hands. So much so that I think he'd make a good RB. IMO he's a definite top 50 prospect. Like I said, look at where Ambles is ranked, and he's better than Ambles.

Ambles has a little better size than JL i I remember correctly. SImilar type prospects though--except for the baggage with Ambles.

Ambles is 6'2", but he's not really a deep threat, so the height doesn't matter IMO that much for either of them. Ambles can't run with the ball in his hands like Landry can, doesn't make as spectacular of catches from what I've seen, and was outplayed at the Tenn camp by Landry by a little.

Receiver, I guess. I don't really know all that much about him except that he's probably the fastest guy in the state.

Looks like a prime kick returner.

Landry is as good looking of a WR as the state has had in a long time...but with that said he falls into the 6' category so maybe his upside can be viewed as limited

Define long time.

Randle, Benton, Byrd, Bell, Tolliver, Molton, etc, etc....

We've put out some good WR as of late, or at least WR with great potential.

Heres an easy way to put it
think of Jarvis Landry as the Jerry Rice type and Reuben Randle as the Randy Moss type.

Rice doesn't look as imposing but is still the greatest reciever to ever play the game.

I remember Early's HS coach at St Martinville saying he only runs 4.50 tops while he was being recruited. I think it was just rantard word of mouth that made people think he was some speed demon.

And Shyrone Carey was nowhere near 4.4 ever.

That right there is the majority of out class for 2011. I think we take around 17 next year so that leaves 10 spots.

Lynx, if the attrition continues naturally like it has for the past few seasons and no player gets forced out like at Kentucky (Calipari) or Alabama (Saban), I still think LSU should be able to take at least 20 players for 2011, maybe 21.

If you look at other players on here that have multiple 40 times, there is a great deal of fluctuation in times. Shyronne only has one and it's a 4.47, so it's fair to say it's possible.

if Landry is that good then how good is mathieu who was able to cover him to a degree that no one else has to date,

does that make mathieu a top 100 player?

Randle is the only one among that group who is in Landry's league

Who knows at this point. There is a possibility if he keeps blowing up camps. He lacks ideal size so that may restrict his stock a bit.

I could easily see Johnson becoming the best of the bunch...short term (Rivals rating) and long term (playing on Sundays?)

Absolutely not trying to be a douche.....

I have seen ZERO film on Hill, just looking at the list makes me beg the question: Is it possible he is a little overrated because he runs behind Collins?

(Oh, and I realize that MrGreen is about to unleash the fury on me.)
