Top 10 LA Players 2024
How are you feeling about this class if BK signs the top 10 players in Louisiana this cycle?

Locking down Mckinley and Mack are crucial.
Love the DB class already, need some more bodies in DLine/oline, but securing those 10 will definitely be a positive.

Would be great and a hopefully a precursor for 2025...

I almost mentioned the 2025 class but didn’t want to get too far ahead. But once Moses pops for 2025 it’ll be on.

CC, out of curiosity, have we ever reached 10/10?

I’d feel pretty good about it no matter what if we pull it off. This year’s top 10 isn’t last year’s, but is still pretty good. Signing Mack and McKinley is crucial. They are must gets.
I think this class will be judged by who we get in the trenches. We have missed on a few OL we thought we would get, and our contingency plan committed to Stanford. Hopefully we can turn that around, and we need a big and solid hall at DT. We didn’t sign any last year and I’m not sure who we’re getting this year, either. We need McKinley and I think we should take Melvin Hills. I would like those two, Johnson, and even a fourth DT if there’s room.

2018 landed 8/10. Justin Rogers went to TCU and Pooka went to Kansas.
2016 went 9/10 with Shyeim Carter going to Bama.
2013 went 8/10 with Tim Williams going to Bama and Jeremy Cutrer ending up at MTSU.

In my opinion, we will get 2 of the 3 our of McKinley, Singleton and Mack.
It's also my opinion that this year's talent in Louisiana is vastly underrated by the services as well as our own fan base. This class will provide the backbone of at least 1 National Championship team. Mark my words.

Shea and Billy seem to think Mack isn’t leaving the state due to Frank’s relationships on the West Bank. McKinley and Singleton will be tougher to land but they still think the odds are better that they both stay in state.

I'm with you when it comes to Frank's relationships with New Orleans kids.
I can't remember the last kid from Lafayette that LSU wanted that they didn't get.
Many though ... who's the last kid from there to go to LSU ?

Gonna have to pick it up with McKinley’s recruitment if they want to surpass the impression that OSU/A/M and Tx left with his visits up to now. Get him on campus Frank, u are the man to turn the tide for the Tigers with him.

He’s been invited to the July 28th event. Will he show or go somewhere else….

God I hate that NIL value shite they put on there. Remove it. Please. It's silly and they have 0 idea of their actual NIL value or what kind of NIL deal they might get.
Posted on 7/3/23 at 1:43 pm to deuce985
That's all Shannon Terry cares about. Hell part of your On3 ranking has to do with your NIL eval

Posted on 7/3/23 at 2:03 pm to grich31
It basically comes down to being a short sighted or long sighted decision for these kids. Take NIL money and go out of state for 4 years to a place that probably doesn’t care about you after your playing career is done. By staying in state, you’ll probably be looked after for the rest of your working life and taken care of. The 40 year decision mantra isn’t a bunch of BS. Ask Dylan Moses about this if you see him around BR.

There is no Arch this year but last year there was no 5star DT or corner
Singleton is just as good or better than Curtis
McBryde won’t be ranked much lower than Derek Williams when done
The recruiting sites put out that bs about it being a down year to justify undervaluing the state

I don't like to go year to year because sometimes kids just want out of the state or might be playing a position we're stacked at, and every year is different talent wise. I think if we could average 8 or 9(maybe 10)out of the top 12 every year, we should absolutely be competing for titles every year. We'll be able to fill in talent really well out of GA,TX,and FL and grab a few blue chips out of other states as well.

To be honest, Bama, UGA and OSU have been doing NIL deals on a high, high level for a long, long time. Lol.

Hell we just need to worry about getting a top 100 players right now.
Our coaches can develop but so can the teams that recruit ahead of us.
