Well in his morning interview on 104.5 he said he wanted to go into programming... Something about "applications". I don't pretend to know everything like the rantards, but I'm pretty sure you don't need to go to Harvard for that... and certainly not Harvard grad school. Matter of fact, many people program "Apps" that have never been to college. It's possible I have no clue what "Programming Apps" means, but I'd bet Harvard would be a little overkill for that major.

He also praised LSU's academics in the same interview. I can't remember the exact statement verbatim, but it sounded like it was one of the major points when deciding for LSU over Maryland.

Thanks for the info. Programming doesn't necessarily require schooling but it depends what kind you're talking about as far as degree of difficulty and how much prior knowledge he has. I know a guy from here in BR who didn't go to college but is making apps. Certainly, apps isn't the pinnacle of programming though. It's a good field, especially if you excel in it.

Anyways, the reason I wondered is bc of what you mentioned. To do that, he certainly doesn't need a graduate degree and definitely not one from Harvard, although I'm sure it couldn't hurt.

Have you ever considered that he will likely graduate in 3 years, and that he can probably easily attend Harvard grad school?

Jesus, people...

As someone else previously stated, Scott's athletic prowess won't be a factor in grad school admissions like it is for undergrad. Hell have a harder time getting into an Ivy League for grad school.
