That highlight film was awesome! The cheesy 80s music. The slow motion. The pedaling on the bike. I was waiting for him to kick Ivan Drago's arse!!!

As for Liggins, I wasn't impressed by his 'athleticism' that much and he stared down his receivers. His arm strength is ok IMO. He held on to the ball a few times, but he has a pretty quick release. If Krags works with him for a year or three, I could see him being an above average QB. Best case scenario he plays his Jr. & Sr. year as a pocket passer and makes 2nd team All-SEC. Worst case scenario he runs the option for us for a year, and starts his Sr. year and we have a repeat of the 2010 season.

Welcome Mr. Liggins!

Les will make him the redzone qb most likely. Punching it in from the 3 or 4 yard line

I think his highlights look a lot like Spencer Ware's highlight videos from his senior year. I'm not saying he can't be a QB, but either we are going to be a read option team if/when he becomes the starter or Krags will do work on him. I hope it works out, but the kid wants to be a Tiger and I'm ready to welcome him to the family. We'll work out positions later.

I posted a couple of weeks ago that a friend of mine, whose son plays for N. Pontotoc in highlights, said the same thing. He has a cannon for an arm but a little slow on the delivery.

I see everyone tearing him up as a QB prospect, but I think he has potential there if he is tought how to play the position. Rohan, Mauck and Flynn didn't have rocket arms, but played well. I like his release and think he has potential at the QB spot. IMHO.

The kid has stated many times hes a QB and only a QB. I doubt seriously he would be willing to change positions. I think he has great upside as a read option QB.Moffit will earn his money with this guys body shape being put on display in a few years.

No he hasn't. Here he said

quote:

"It doesn't really matter to me what I play," Liggins said. "I'll be the kicker if I have to, just as long as I can play. I love the game."

No, not tearing him up.

Not prototypical Height / Weight for a QB.

These days 6'8" 265/270 pound QB's are out there more than they used to be. But 6'3 270 pound QB's poses a ? to me. I hope he turns into next level talent wherever he plays.

No doubt he needs to get in shape. But I don't think his throwing motion or delivery is that bad. That's what I usually look at in a QB.

With R. Shepard you looked at his throws and said no way will he ever be an SEC QB. With Liggins, I think he could be a solid QB. Not a future 1st rounder or anything, but solid which is what we need.

My first thought too.

I do like a QB that uses the pump fake effectively. Maybe he will do that at LSU.

Oh really?

Take that negative shite out of here.

Highlights were very impressive.
Kid can run, throw and has vision.

After all the talk here about his accuracy I have to say with the throws he made there he looked pretty damn good.

Tebow part2 ....I'm calling it.

After watching the video- the kid needs to be moved to the defensive line and I expect him to be a starter there in 3 years.

He's being compared (in size) to two other bigger LSU QB's.

Rohan Davey 6'2" 245

Jamarcus Russell 6'6" 260

That's what my ? is. Might be the best ever!!
Who knows

Funny. I gotta say that his over the top delivery with short arm movemant/wrist "flip" action looks very similar to Davey. Man if we are comparing him to Davey when he's done this could be the steal of the class!!
