I know Hodge recently claimed an offer but I don't think he has one and if he did it is not commitable with Mickey, etc... in line.
Oliver if he gets offered which I think he will.
SC just entered the picture with an offer to Martin so I expect him to hold out a little longer.
Maybe we can work some magic on Greg Robinson to commit but not expecting it since he wants to enjoy the process a little longer and git the camp circuit.
Nick Shepard could be an option if he comes up this weekend because I think it is going to be hard to turn down Russell's brothe especially if he holds his own. I expect LSU to work out Renaldo Thomas this weekend and in July before potentially offering.
If we could get Armonze Daniel to see the light on our dept chart I would think he would be a take with a solid camp.
I see Oliver as the best bet if he performs well and gets his offer.

Are you ok Otis, don't have a meltdown now.
I was asked an opinion and shared my thoughts along with some tidbits I have come across. I talked with someone on staff about Greg and know that LSU feels they are in great shape for him but understand he wants to go to other camps this summer and enjoy the process a little and they can't blame him for that but hope for him to end it sooner rather than later. Greg has also said he wants to go to camps and enjoy the process and has stuck to that in interviews since the beginning. The staff member also said they only want one more OL in this class. Nothing earth shattering here from what I can see.
On Oliver, I simply think he is going to perform well and I have followed him over the years so I could be a little biased but most feel he is the frontrunner out of the in-state guys to land an offer. LSU is his home team and an offer from LSU would be his best offer to date.
Martin said we were his leader when we offered but that was before the home school entered the picture this week. Don't see anything weird here because pretty self-explanatory. Is he going to fall in love with LSU when he arrives and say too late SC and commit on the spot? Maybe so...Or will he slow it down to consider his options now that playing close to his family might be an option? I am leaning to the latter, myself. You?
I gave my opinion of Nick Shepard but have no clue what the staff is thinking here. Safety position is a little wide open at this time and we don't want to potentially scare off someone like Pat Martin and others who are likely higher on our board. Or will they look at him at CB when he camps or consider taking him on as a ATH?
Hodge has said some not so great things about LSU and the only reason I have him on my list is because a friend of mine told me 2 months ago that he was planning to come in for camp with a few of his Neville teammates. But I find it odd that LSU has offered all these DTs pretty early and are still very much in the running for guys like Mickey Johnson and other OOS DT prospects and all of the sudden would offer and/or take a commitment from him which would pretty much end our recruiting for DTs in this class. We have Freak and Thomas committed and Thomas could end up a DT IMO. I don't see us taking more than 1 more in this class. Not to mention a guy like Chuck Hunter and the WM ties to LSU waiting in the wings for an offer.
Daniel has been pretty wide open and we need LBs in this class. Don't see many other LBs that we have a great shot at right now. So why couldn't he impress in camp and get an offer? We have a need and we are getting him to campus. Does he commit on the spot? I am not counting on a kid for IL just ending it on the spot but the staff will try if he impresses and gains an offer.
I clearly stated my opinions and never tried to argue why they are facts but maybe my line of thinking in each case will be satisfactory to your standards. I could give a damn if you think I am credible or not just ask nicely next time.

That is a hard one to figure out. I think the staff is going to play with the idea and maybe work him out as a CB or maybe bring him on as an ATH.

OTIS, lay off Bhelm. He has more inside info than anyone else on here. Its people like you who make the insiders not want to post anymore. Bhelm has been money on almost everyone of his predictions the last half decade (probably longer but I haven't kept up with message boards until then). The guy knows his shite.
