I would love to see Landon at LSU but people thought we were doomed with Janzen Jackson leaving and we moved and look at where we are now one kid willl never make or break the prgram this isnt 1995.

Landon is way better than Janzen.

Janzen was pretty damn good. He wasnt a 5 star until maybe halfway through his sr year. He didnt garner as much attention as LC because he commited to LSU so early and seemed to be a solid commit.

This one would hurt. Truly the first 5* stud from LA that we want that BAMA would get. And to be so close to campus at that. It makes sense he would go to LSU, but I have a bad feeling. If his GF would be going to LSU then he would have already committed to LSU. She's not and I think that may make all the difference, unfortunately.

If I play in the secondary and one of my good friends were playing at Bama, there is no doubt I will be going there. Saban is great and was always great with the secondary. Wasnt til recent that LSU became the school with big time secondary players.
Please name one college db that Saban coached that has gone on to have a good NFL career as a DB. Now compare that with Ron Cooper. That logic isn't sound. If I were in Collins shoes I would look at the success rate of prior years players and who was coaching them

I agree LC to bama hurts bc it's bama, saban, and the top recruit in the state. Maybe even 2 of the top 5 recruits from Louisiana going to our sec west rivals. Of course, lsu will br fine either way but it's an ego killer.

I agree. Take her out of the conversation. This is an 18 year old guy. His girlfriend aint gonna matter in his choice. If any woman is gonna count its gonna be momma. Mommas cooking, mommas lecturing and momma taking care of him, he wont get that in Bama. Plus he IS an 18 year old guy who is gonna be famous on campus, there will be other women in his life this aint the 50's no more when people mated for life lol.

He can be a hero at Tiger Stadium or processed at Bama. Hope he doesn't forget his people. Most of the really bad decisions I've made in my life were about women. With family and community in mind, I excel, when chasing some skirts is when things can go askew. I imagine that's the case with most young dudes.

Landon needs to read this.

Yep. The dude got some arse way better than his GFs on his visit more than likely, so i cant see an 18 year old with that much attention is going to pick to be with his GF over all the fine arse chicks at LSU or Bama. She is irrelevent IMO
Plus all he has to do is watch the first season of Blue Moutain State to see what having a GF in college as a football player will do for you

If LC brought his girl on his OVs he's dumber than a mofo. Hasn't he seen He Got Game (1998)? Doesn't he know how it goes down?
Landon, smh.
Landon, smh.

Landon did not bring his GF to his Bama official. He brought 4 other Dtown players with him.

Not sure who he brought to his LSU official. Being that he's just down the road, I don't think it'd matter if he brought her to lsu or not. They didn't take him anywhere he couldn't go on a regular fri/sat night

There are many 5 star high school recruits who bust in college and never get a NFL payday. At that point, the kid's fallback would be his hometown and community. If he choses Alabama, they can feed him if he flops because the Louisiana family he'd be turning his back on wouldn't forget so easily.
5 Starts are no sure bet.
Mo Claiborne was a 3 star too, so 5 stars are also not the end all be all, especially when they have the attitude this kid seems to have.
IMHO, a preferred LSU recruit is one who puts LSU before themselves and wants to part of something bigger than themselves. It's obviously not the case with LC. He seems to want to be a superstar, and Saban is great pimping fake superstars. At LSU, he won't get his the same limelight as at Bama, where they have ESPN and others to overhype average talent.

Thats what matters, and they haven't a single clue about life yet. He could easily be booby trapped, and not know or care. One of the ASST. at Bama said they had their hooks into him, and that no one could compete with their "Strategy". If indeed Bama has brainwashed the kid....look, its easy to do at that age. Hopefully his parents see through this, and thats all anyone can hope for.

Janzen Jackson was a five star who got carried away with the recruiting buzz. He was a very talented athlete, who bought into Kiffin's hype;
Where is he now, McNeese?
