Couldn’t have had a better visit from what I've heard. Was a big plus that Delpit was with him nearly the whole time.

"It was great to see how much a brotherhood it is out there," Ransom said. "It's a DBU family and they really took me under their wings. I was able to spend a lot of time with Grant Delpit and I already look up to him, just trying to model my game after what he does on the field, and he made it clear what LSU can do for me. It was great to be able to hear it from him.

"Coach O's energy was intense. He made me and my family feel at home, just coming from so far and making us feel welcomed. I also had great talks with coach Bill Busch and coach Dave Aranda, who is a defensive mastermind. It was great to hear his plan. All around it was a great trip."

"You're always on the fence about how much a school really wants you, but LSU really made that clear," Ransom said. "For a school like LSU to come out to Tucson to recruit a defensive back when there are so many others around the country, and coach Busch has made it known. He has come out to see me three times at my school already through the process. That meant a lot and it's why I wanted to get out there as well. It really opened my eyes to see how much they like me and see where they see me fitting in, making an impact in that defense early."

I don't understand how he is not a 5 star player.

He certainly looks like he can step in and play immediately. So does Rakim. Who’s the big fella?
